    Sennheiser HD 425, 70s

Hi   First post on this forum although I have been following threads.   I wanted to ask what people think of the Sennheiser HD 425 headphones. I'm interested in purchasing a pair of the retro ones. I think they are from the last 70s. I already have some Pioneed SE L40. What does everyone...

How long do headphones usually last?

I bought some lousy AIWA headphones about a year ago. At first the bass was ok and the phones were OK for their price (about 14$ ). Anyway after about three months the bass became distorted when I upped the volume a bit. This i guess is partly due to me listening m a i n l y bassy, speedy music...

    Sennheiser HD558/HD430 Comparison

So, this is my first review and in it, I will be comparing the Sennheiser HD558 to the HD430. Cable replacement for HD424s

I'm thinking of snapping up a pair of vintage HD424s and replacing the cable on them. However, I would like to know whether you can just use something like a HD25 cable or HD650 cable or if you have to buy a replacement cable specifically designed for the HD424. Thanks.

Old Sennheiser HD-430 -- What gives?

I've spent a lot of time with ATH-M40; AKG 240M; various under-$200 Sonys; and Sennheiser MX-400, HD-570 and HD-580 headphones. Now a strange thing has happened: I just bought the hands-down best set of headphones I have ever heard for $20 on eBay. These old Senn 430s are smooth, flat and...

Help!!! My Sennheiser HD430 just died :(

Hi,    I tried to remove the foam behind the driver as it is old and dirty, but when I put everything back, no sound comes out of it. If anyone can help I'd appreciate, as I was really liking them. I just bought new ear pads....

    Headphone and portable amp question...

Hello, this is my first post so I will straight up apolagise if I haven't done something right. I currently have some <£30/<$35 on ear headphones which I'd like to uprade, except when I plug them straight into my iPod the sound is good but not great (reason for uprade), yet when I dock my iPod...
