Replacement earpads for MB Quart Phone 70

Hi, I bought a MB Quart Phone 70 today for 4 euros at a flea market, however it needs new earpads. I see satshanti is using AKG pads here, and I'm fairly sure they are probably K240 pads, but I wanted to check here first. Can anyone give any advice? Thanks.

AKG K271 vs K240: My impressions

Alright, I just got back from a mini-meet at Iron_Dreamer's place. The main reason that I went was to compare how the AKG K240 Studio 'phones that I own stack up against their closed cousin, the K271. Ed brought his Grace, K1000s and HD600s, although I won't be talking much about those here. We...

    [Review] Ortofon HD-Q7

This little powerhouse is almost unheard of here on headfi, which is a shame. Reviews online are practically nil*, and to the best of my knowledge ALO Audio is the only distributor in North America. edit: Headfonia posted a review a couple weeks ago: http://www.headfonia.com/ortofon-hd-q7/  ...

    Starting headphones

Hi everyone, I'm a little old here on head-fi but stayed like 2 years afk, and now I'm completely lost. From what I know, the best sound for the money headphones are the open ones (as I know), when I was following the forum, the best mid range IEM was Shure E2C or Westone UM1, now is RE0...

    AKG K240 Pad mod

Ok, I have a set of K240 MP sextetts. I found the pads were just the teensiest bit flat (they wernt that bad). But it made my ear just very lightly touch the plastic grille, which caused annoyance after a while. So I wanted pads which were 'taller'/deeper. I found out that velour pads...

Just got my N.O.S. AKG K340! - now pics added

And there is actually nice history behind them:   I bought them from a man, whose father was working for AKG at the time when the K340 and K240 were produced. He (father) was given few pairs of headphones (k340, K141, K240)  to test them at home. They were used only for few hours and are in...

    Eclectisism leavng me clueless.

Hey, I'm a bit new to this scene and after years of sub par audio equipment I took the plunge into some audiophile "Approved" headphones when I purchased my HD201's as my first entry level cans. For $20 I got a hell of a deal I must say. This leaves me in a bit of a fix; however, I'm a little...

    AKG K 240s and 240MKII

Hi,   Is there any difference in build quality between AKG K 240s and 240MKII.   The AKG K 240s is discontinued, but they have stock at Thomann I know you do get the extra cable and earpads with the MKII version, so I am leaning towards them, just wondering which would be best option...

    Recommend Headphones for Guitar Practice

Hi,   I need help choosing headphones for guitar practice, the headphones will be connected to a Vox Tonelab ST amp modeler effects pedal.   I would prefer full size over the ear design, rather than on ear, I don't mind if they're open or closed, whichever's best, for my needs...

Time to get some new full sized closed back headphones, but which ones?

I currently got the Sennheiser HD25 MK1 which I've had for about 5 years now.   However the highs can be too harsh on my ears, sometimes painfully harsh on compressed mp3s.    So looking for a better pair of closed back headphones with the same durability as the HD25 headphones, also I...

AKG K240 or K240 MK II?

Hey guys,    I am looking at purchasing the AKG K240 headphones. In my research I found two models, the K240 and the K240 MK II. There is a considerable price difference between the two, but I have not read anything about a difference in sound quality. Would it be worth it to spend the extra...

    AKG K240 Sextett questions

I recently bought an AKG K240 Sextett from ebay (65 euros). They smelled of smoke when I received them, and the pads were a little worn, so I ordered a new set of pads (from Thomann Cyberstore) along with new foam sheets which they did not come with. I was pleasantly suprised by the sound...

    AKG K240 Sextett--Grado'd AKG?

I've been powering AKG K240 Sextett with Almarro A205a MkII, and Jee Whiz, this thing almost sounds like a Grado, notably RS-1, in the midrange. RS-1 has better bass, but Sextett has better upper-mid/treble smoothness... BTW, anyone know what kind of glue works best to repair a...
