This might be fun. At least they're on opposite sides of the country. Probably cut down on the bloodshed.

Don't worry, Rick won't ever hurt another head-fier. Probably he'll just send Neruda's address to the spammers to teach him a lesson. BTW, some of those spammers seem to be using some sort of software trying many combinations of letters. Whenever I get some of those e-mails, mostly with ****, they are sent to a bunch of addresses, in alphabetical order.

That said, I wonder if spam really works, since it appears to be more a way to annoy people than a viable publicity tool.

Let's see... at last count, I have e-mail addresses from:
- university
- RoadRunner
- Yahoo
- Excite
- Hotmail (2: one for business, one for whatever)
- DBZMail (never gets used)
- work

So I got eight, and I don't get more than five or six pieces of spam per day at any of them, because I have mad spam-avoidance skillz.

And maybe rick meant one of his two e-mail addresses is for business, which would give him five total? Or maybe Neruda should start looking for a good non-extradition country?

he probably means two emails are his, but one of the two is buisness only.

so 2+1+1+1=5

Spam sucks, I really wish they would outlaw it. Not only is it annoying, but it is a waste of bandwidth. 99% of people won't look at it, only 1% of those who look will go to the page. At an average message size of 10KB, that really adds up quick (100MB per page view for what I just put forth).

My old email has over 4,000 spam messages on it. I simply have given it over to spam. I feel sorry for bob@yahoo.com, as that is what I use whenever an email is needed and i don't want to give out one of my real ones.

Plus it's cathartic.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SPAM! IT ONLY ENCOURAGES THEM! DITTO POP-UPS!

This has been a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood co-spam-hater (spam-co-hater).

Your best bet is to write pissed off letters to both your isp and the isp through which the mailing is taking place. The place it is getting emailed from is not the thing in the return box, you have to look at the smtp header (right click on the message in outlook and go to options).

Unfortunatly thee are no laws governing spam, like there are no real internet advertising laws, so there is very little you can do about it.

And neruda is safe for now, though I can't promise where my mood will swing later........................

And yes his math is correct and as he obviously has payed enough attention to know I have three sons it would seem that something is not correst at Rancho Ricardo.
But you see , my oldest is soon to be 18.No more a child but rather a young adult.
And being such he prefers privacy (I would not know why

) and decided he would use a Yahoo account accessable only by himself, which freed up on of the accounts for my use.So while Neruda is correct in his math...still he DID try to screw with me and that is just not to be allowed.
That's one dude, don't push your luck
