My pair is on UPS "out for delivery". They are usually here by noon!
Best Buy's website has been flaky for a while now. I don't know what they did but I have been experiencing problems for the last few months. I can't look at their weekly ads on my work computer (it says I'm using an old version of IE but I'm running the latest version of Chrome under Windows 7), it never remembers my login information, and I have issues trying to locate and order products for in-store pickup. For example, the morning that Best Buy put the Nintendo Switch up for pre-order, I was able to add it to my cart and then I selected an in-store pickup. It said I couldn't do that and the item was removed from my cart (instead of just sending me back to select shipping). I was able to add the Switch to my cart again, I selected in-store pickup at a different store, and the same thing happened. Whatever, I was pre-ordering and could still get it shipped to me so it arrived on launch day. So I go to add the Switch back to my cart and it won't let me saying they're sold out. I go through this process for a solid 10 minutes, I'm able to get to the payment page, and they boot me back saying there's something wrong with the stock of the unit I want. I had to repeat the process a solid 30 times before, finally, their stupid website placed my order. I ended up getting the Switch I wanted shipped to me so it arrived on launch day but it was a pain.
I've noticed that their website seems to act up more when new products are added. It looks like the stores in my area (Indianapolis-Cincinnati-Louisville) will be getting the matte black versions in on the 22nd, there are only three stores that have them in-stock now (it says Available Today. Limited stock, buy now to reserve) and they're all about 70 miles apart from each another. Just for kicks and giggles, I tried buying a pair and it gave me the same error as you saying that they are not available. That's the same thing that happened when I tried to order the Switch. My guess is that their system is messed up and most stores should be getting them in on Saturday. Whether or not they will actually have them on display is another issue. The Best Buy I always goes to only has Magnolia TV's, one projector, and 3-4 surround sound systems (with two sound bars) on display. The other Best Buy I go to (closer to work) is in a more dilapidated area. They only have JBL and Skullcandy headphones to actually try out. The rest (including Beats and Bose) are behind glass displays. All of the products are locked up in the back or are in white metal cages.
Yeah, I physically called them. The website says "Pick Up Today!" at my location, with less than 3 in stock. I called and the clerk knew exactly the headphones I was talking about and confirmed they had them in. I may be jumping in the car in a few minutes and taking a drive.
Edit: In hand. I got the only pair the store had, and they weren't even on the floor yet. They had to go dig through the back for them. Will be listening all day today at work for impressions between them and the M-100. (wired) Not really interested in wireless, but I suppose I'll try that out too.
I believed I mentioned this previously. Though the XL pads are deeper, the CF2W pads are better and more comfortable. To get added ear clearance, cut an Ethernet cable and stuff it under the inside of the pad. These are true memory foam as the XL bars lose their shape quickly and compressDo your M100s have the XL pads on them? Looking for a comparison between the new pads and the XL to see if I should think about buying a pair of XL pads off Amazon before my 2s show up next week. Also very happy that your main goal is to test wired mode. As Val said, Bluetooth is included as a convenience, which is all I typically use it for. 90+ percent of my time will be wired. Really looking forward to your impressions of wired compared to the M100, which I consider to be one of the most fun sounding headphones I've ever used.

Anyone have input on the matte white regarding dirt? I know these haven't been out long, but was curious as to how the color holds up to normal wear/tear. I'd hate for them to get that nasty black grime that some white earbuds seem to accumulate. Perhaps some of you have other white V-Moda headphones and can comment?
This is an absolutely gorgeous headphone...just got my Matte Whites. Wired from my GS8 and the Sony PHA-1A they sound absolutely incredible. A little fidelity loss over BT to my GS8, but still really good. Last year's version clipped at louder volumes on the bass region...these do not. So already an improvement. They compete well w/ my B&O H7s...and they don't have that ridiculous clicking noise the H7s have before playing tracks.
