Hello,

*Meeting room has been booked for May 20th at Sam Gary Branch Library in Denver. Meeting room has been reserved from 9AM until 4PM. We will have 20 tables to setup gear on. It's the meeting room that is just opposite the main entrance, one we've always used.

All are welcome, you don't have to bring gear to attend. There is no cost to attend, however donations for the room will be accepted at the meet until we reach $70, suggested donation is $5.

No major rules, be mindful of noise level around people listening. Handle other peoples gear respectfully, both hands. Don't crank up the volume of other peoples gear too loud, no one wants to hear their headphones blaring from the other side of the room..

No food allowed in the meeting space itself, there are restaurants within walking distance.

See you on the 20th of May!!

edit: The general idea of these meets is to check out new equipment, people want you to hear their equipment! You generally don't have to ask a member if you can check out their gear if you are sitting down at their table, but you should let them know / ask if you want to take their gear to another table. If you are unsure, just ask! Check out peoples sources on the equipment list spreadsheet posted below to see what media you should bring, bringing a flash drive with music on it is a good idea. People also tend to have music you can listen to on their sources as well. Some general etiquette, for first time attendees.

Please add equipment you are bringing to this Google Docs Spreadsheet.

Thanks,
-Art

I'd be happy to join in. I've got a Modi Multibit/Jotunheim combo that are my go-to.

I am very interested. It is hard to tell from today, but if work does not interfere I will be able to make just about any date from now until August.
May 27th is OK with me, but it is the Holiday weekend. I am not sure if that would limit attendance..

I pre-ordered the Aeon. That is supposed to be available around May 1st.

I have a bunch of headphones that I can bring.

The Aeon (depending on delivery)
HE 1000 V1
HE 560
HE 400i
PM3
K7xx
TH-X00
HD650
Others I will throw out a bit later
I just picked up a FIIO X5II
Liquid Carbon
H10
Pulse Infinity
DC1 ( if anyone is interested)

Voxata just made me some cables for the HE 1000... will show them off as well.

More later.

Would love to hear a few from your selection MD. I'll probably bring my oddly modded DT770 for fun as well.

I believe that I'll be able to make it that day.  If so, I will bring:
Hifiman HE 500
Mr. Speakers Mad Dogs
Audio Technica IM02
Shure SE215 special edition blue

Schiit Lyr 2
Schiit Jotunheim
JDS Labs C5D
Schiit Modi Multibit

Some of that may change in the next month or so, as I'm trying to sell the jotunheim, mad dogs, and IM02's, so I'll see what's left.
Also, if any of y'all are interested in any of 'em, drop me a line!

Poto, I would definitely be interested in hearing your Fiio's!

Also, if anyone has any of the chinese in-ears (like VE or LZ) I'd love to give them a listen!

No promises, as I'd be driving up from Colorado Springs, but I've been wanting to go to one of these things for a minute.

I'm also curious about how often you guys see Springsians up there. It would be funny if there's actually a critical mass down here and we could be having our own meetups, if anyone only tried. Then again, too many people here are aggressively unhappy, and who wants to hang out with that guy?

I haven't perused the thread yet, but I'm really interested in listening to the middle of Hifiman's planar lineup, which I may be buying or trading my way into soon. I also want to find out how my extensively modded HE-400 compares to the HE-500. Sometimes I think it's on the same level as my LCD2, other times not so much.

What I'll have to bring will definitely change between now and then, but it'll probably include most of the following:

Both of my quality vintage cans that I keep mostly for looks, but both are still enjoyable listens: the Pioneer SE L40, and Dynatronic MD-300VM

LCD2.2 nonfazor
Sine
iSine 10 or 20 (still TBD)
Extensively modified HE-4000 (4000 was originally a typo, now it's my goal to somehow live up to it)
Sennheiser MX985
Koss KDE250
A&K XB10
Klipsch Status (because it's seriously underrated and underappreciated)
Audio Technica M50 (in case anyone wants to see how much better it is compared to the M50x

Plus anything in my profile anyone requests, but I think that's most of the rare, interesting, and high quality stuff
