Is this event open to people who don't have anything to bring but just want to audition some IEMs / headphones?

I'm new to this as well, but how does one audition IEMs? Should I be bring my own tips or something?

Also not sure if it's been or if it's against the rules, but perhaps it might be a good idea to make a Facebook event? That way there's more visibility for people. I happened to stumbled across this forum purely by change (I was doing a search for the FLC8).

It's open and welcome to anyone, but registration on this thread is required because we do have a lot of private expensive gear floating around inside the venue.

It's always been difficult to define a borderline of how far to advertise and how "exclusive" to make the event, because we don't want some random group of people rocking in and breaking or taking away the participants gear.

I guess the aim is, anyone who is committed to register their attendance should have enough respect for handling other people's gear carefully.

Regarding the IEMs, maybe we can ask Minidisc to bring over some disposable tips to the meet. I usually bring my own bag of tips which I know fits me well. Worst case, you can always clean the existing tips with the wet wipes but you might not get a good fit.

Not forgetting there is a $20 cost at registration. I was hoping that Stax SR009 and Blue Hawaii will make an appearance again but don't look like it.

Hey People,

I would like to come.

I can bring

MrSpeakers Alpha Dog
Mr Speakers Alpha Prime
Schiit Gungnir (DS) DAC

If I can pry the jaws of my credit card open a bit I might be able to bring a Schiit Jotenheim - that's been on my present-to-myself list for way too long - and this seems like the perfect excuse - sharing and all that! :) Otherwise we can slip the Gungnir into the setup of whoever is interested.

What's the parking like at the venue?

cheers
Jon

Usually plenty of parking very close to the venue. Right outside the door to be specific.
