Klipsch High End Over Ear-your input appreciated

I admit we are dorks...but this is cool, since the earpads will be magnetic, we needed to pick magnets. So the factory brought us magnets and after we selected the proper size, they went downstairs and a few minutes later they were back with magnetized magnets for us to test. I found that super cool and we were able to immediately test the strength of the earpad mounting to the baffle

I'm intrigued. Will the magnets be exposed or concealed on the pads'frame? Wonder what kind of equipment they use to charge the material...

Check out this detail change to the baffle from the CES sample to the current prototype. The driver is now inset and it allows us to pull the driver back and that gives us a wider soundstage and it allows us to tune bass response

Wow! That looks like a major jump between the two drivers with the revision to create the cone to spread/project the sound. (I think I said that right). Is the wall flat and then transitions to a radius at the face or is it a bit concave? Hard to tell.

That's super cool. Does it act as a waveguide of sorts as well, or is it way too close to the ears to even matter?

Hope your headphone sounds as good as these Klipsch Walnut 3.2's I have running off my vintage Pioneer Spec system...............if so I'll be paying attention.

We arrived in Tokyo yesterday and are progressing on the Headphone development. We will share pics this week, but please keep in mind these are all prototypes and so there are finish and texture details, color variations etc when you build prototypes-doesn't mean we are not still going to build the product you saw at CES.

The goal of this process is to validate mechanical, acoustics and construction and fabrication issues.

Good to see more of these, they are still as beautiful as ever. I can not wait to get a pair. If I can ask one question, It looks like you have swapped over to a Mini XLR connector for the headphones, why did you choose to go with the female jack on the cup instead of the male jack the way others seem to do it in the market?

We are actually moving towards making the Cable connectors 3.5mm. It should make recabling easier.

If we go that direction, we will use 4 conductor and not 2.
