I have started the review process.

Listening now at a cafe on my way to work, also checking on the train.

Very pleasant. I have about 93 hours on them so far. I have also left them long enough to let the initial new toy syndrome pass somewhat.

Smooth, detailed, open, fast response.

Started with the Supplied tips, now using JVC Spiral tips.

Source Centrance Hifi-Skyn (gain 1), ipod touch 6G 128GB and Flacplayer app on shuffle.

Is this the Andromeda or Nova you're describing?

I have a feeling nova will be a hit if it follows the Orion sound.

Great built, accessories, customer support and by the looks of it ALO didn't shy away from giving sample to reviewers we trust.

In my opinion (purely subjective) none of the flagship ciems play on the same level as the andromeda

quite a bold statement
aether, zeus, k10, HUM, ce6p, harmony 8

That's why its "purely subjective"

I had Andromeda on burn in for 2hrs and just had over an hour of non-stop listening, and based on what I'm hearing at the current moment I favor them over K10UA, Maestro, ES60, and also DITA.  Not saying it's a night'n'day difference, just a personal preference based on the tuning and a pair up with LPG and Opus#1.  By the same token, it's hard to compare Andromeda to U12 due to their differences where U12 is smoother, warmer, slower, and sounds more analog, while Andromeda is faster, brighter, more resolving and detailed; it's like comparing dynamic driver analog performance to BA driver digital performance.  Each one is playing in its own field where they excel on their own level, though both have a very impressive nearly holographic 3D soundstage expansion.

But one thing I do have to note, Andromeda shell design (probably common to all CFA IEMs) needs some getting used to and a very careful selection of eartips.  The shell really stands out with a unique industrial design, but also has a very short nozzle and a shallow insertion.  And the angled edges of the shell will not be friendly with everyone's concha area of the ear.  I was using my own shallow silicone tips until my ears got pretty sore and I had to take a break.  Just went through tip rolling, and looks like old UE900 eartips do the trick for me.  Also, I might have to file one of the screw heads due to sharp edges.  The sound is phenomenal, the fit - will be user dependent on ear anatomy and the selection of eartips.

also, LOVE the SPC litz cable!!!!  I did a/b comparison with a few of my heavy gauge pure silver cables and it sounds as good!  Plus, more flexible, softer, lighter.  I also like how Andromeda pairs up with Super BaX (i'm using their balanced prototype), makes sound a little warmer and takes some edge off, like a slower filter..  But I ended up going back to Ken's "stock" Litz cable, it gives more speed to the bass and sparkle to the upper mids/treble.

So, I woke up at 4:45 this morning, went to the bathroom then laid back in bed. I sat there for a minute and was like "dude instead of going back to sleep I'm going to go jam the Andromeda". They were subconsciously calling out to me.

Holy cow these things sound good.
