"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

 Yes but there are some REAL Schills out there that continue to bitch about me and my relationship with a certain Ali Express seller, (yes I know who they are and who they work for, there are no secrets on the Chinese merchant scene), so I'm no longer permitted to refer to him or any discounts that I can arrange. It's all good.  By now my friends all know where to go and what to do anyways. My work on that front is done.

Live, Honestly..... If I made commission on every 'phone I've "Hyped" on Head-fi, I wouldn't be having to bust my A** working 10-12 Hours on a GM assembly line to afford this earphone addiction.

These are simply Stellar earphones. THEY MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYBODY,  however. They are serious Audiophile Grade phones. Some may prefer their siblings better with more "Coloring" to their sound signature like the TK12 or TK13 (which is the first one of the reviews I haven't finished yet.)

You can take that to the bank.

Right now I'm sitting on 4-5 Reviews that I should have been done with that I can't get to because of overtime daily.

Just remember Sound Signature and Quality are all PERSONAL OPINIONS.

I didn't realise that single post of mine would even awaken a stir. Like I said, I appreciate your love for the products.

And I couldn't help myself, getting a TK13. I NEED SOMETHING AT LEAST. Partially thanks to you, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love you for it. Many thanks :)

Don't make the stupid mistake I did and judge OOTB. I know better but failed today lol. I was like "where's the bass?! It's defective". After an hour of play time I was like "ohhh there you are! :)"

Lurk, I've A/B'd them. The Bass IS lighter on the TK13 in quantity but extends FAR deeper in the Sub Bass region than it's little brother TK12. It falls Smack Between the TK12 and the Shockwave III. The Sub extension on the SW III is just insane.

Good thing I also have the Maples then. They are rivaling the Easy UEs right now honestly. These things have burned in nicely over 50hrs. The have a large amount of head shaking bass without sacrificing the treble or its details, and still remaining pretty well balanced. Pretty incredible for a $23 single dynamic. MM may be the only earphones I buy now.

200 hrs and the bass still changed. I thought I would stop at 150, but couldn't resist the curiosity. Now I HOPE I'm done, the sub-bass as twin said is indeed insane. I remember the first hours I listen to them, I thought they did not have much bass, could do with a bit more quantity, now its fat and bold and tight, great body with plenty of detail/texture. Still so curious to try the QT5 out. Did not arrive today as I was expecting.

A QT5 thread has been made but noone has contributed yet .. (apart from my trolling for info)
Looking forward to reading your impressions between QT5 and SW3 , am definitely decided of one of these after some comparisons are made to finally surpass my A83s as top dog..

Probably will be a while til I get them but I put in an inquiry to Easy about the cost of these. Gonna be moving next weekend, meaning $300 a month to commute to work until I find a new job closer

QT5 is currently my favorite under $600 earphone. It is that good.
Don't get me wrong, I like my Shockwave III, but I LOVE my QT5.

Cheers.
