That plug looks like a HD-600/650 type, hope its the same, don't really need another new type of plug:rolleyes:

The most logical assumption would be the same connector type as the TH-900 mk2, and as I understand it, that's not compatible with the HD600. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems more likely to adapt the same standard as their flagship, rather than a competitor.

Didn't know that there was a TH-900 mk2 with removable connectors.  Does it say or is there a picture of the new connector?

Sure, here you go:

Seems to be yet another proprietary connector, from what I can tell. Haven't seen anything else like it, especially when the cable is unplugged from the earcup. Makes sense the new TH-610 would be the same as well.

Also, FYI, here's the Japanese Fostex TH-900 mk2 page:

I found the TH-900 Mk2 thread, a poster there said that when they saw it at a show the connectors were like the HD-600/650, so it should be easy to find aftermarket cables.  This would be nice, as I have 4 cables for my HD-600 & HD-650.  Another comment was that the Mk2 was the same as the Mk1, only difference was removable cable so for me it would be much cheaper to get the Mk1 and just use the SMC connectors like I did on my TH-600, save a few hundred clams.

Fostex could just make a 100% copy od D7000 and averyone would be happy :)

Why so many variations with still not the right sound...

As i mentioned earlier these are as close as you will get

  Where to buy these ?:)

I don't know I'm afraid. Not sure if they're actually on sale yet. Another question is; How Much?

I'm sure they will be considerably cheaper than the D5000/ 7000 or the Fostex ?

Another question; as you still have the DT150,  do you need them ? One of the great closed headphones, which I no longer have (at present)

I've seen TH610 2 months ago. They make teaser when announced HP-A4BL (source: http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20151218_736184.html)
Maybe few head-fiers have seen this picture. It seems they decided to change Fostex logo colour to black.

Damnit Japan. Audio or watches, both never fails to amazed me

I had a brief listen with the TH610 prototype today. It's not bad and it sounded like the TH-X00. I actually prefer the look of the TH-X00 rather than this. I hope that they can make the cup look better in the production version.
