New iBasso DX200

Well, they've got a nifty product page up at:

http://ibasso.com/cp_xq_dy.php?id=4898#page1

Amusingly, at the bottom there's a 'Download Manual' link, but the only item on their downloads page for the DX-200 is Firmware (344Mb BTW).

No USB driver listed.

In the description, the word 'balanced' never appears, and the pictures don't seem to show a balanced out, unless the headphone output is software configurable to balanced or single-ended.

The second page has a couple of pictures (with marketing graphics overlaid unfortunately).

BTW, the 'Buy it now' button on the screen is active, puts it in the cart -- $869 USD

Confirmed balanced and no Google Play at the moment.

My bad -- close examination of the picture on Page 2 shows the letters 'BAL' immediately above the 'OS' arrow.  The arrow itself must be covering the jack itself.

And the spec here:

does indicate a 2.5mm balanced output.

In the DX-200 thread started by Paul, he mentioned that they put in the ridiculous price to prevent folks from ordering during their out-of-stock/Lunar New Year period.  Didn't want folks to order and then complain about long fulfillment times.

This might finaly prove to be a nice android based wifi transport that actualy fully supports soundcloud aswel as the standard streaming survices such as tidal/spotify/Qobuz. A great DAC + portability aswel. They all support tidal and the likes... but all say scroo you to soundcloud because of the low res material... Ignoring the fact that 90% of the best electronic music is being released on soundcloud.
Im buying asap!
Ofc there's Fiio X7 and X5gen3 now aswel

don't worry , people should stop buying DAP or headphone or other audio equipment with this ridiculous price, in next 3 to 5 years easily price increase to 10K just for DAP ! IMO the main and only reason for increasing the price especially in DAP category is astell and kern , i remember every time they release a dap ,  other company will increase the price just to compete the price range with astell and kern or other brand , this isn't about the performance , is just about ridiculous luxury price on this market , 5K for AK380SS buy it and you'll see 7K Dap next year , its just rubbish , with 5K people can buy whole home entertainment + audiophile Headphone , amp and dac or whatever.. This Just Doesn't Sound Right To Me

870$ still a lot for music player , Hope it's worth it
