Hello! If you don't know what you are talking about then ask the specialists and the Tera Player owners.
I have been using mine for nearly 4 years now almost every day and never had a problem.
And battery life also is the same like in the first day 12-15 hours depending on headphones, volume.
1. Best sounding music player i have ever heard/owned.
2. The Tera Player can use any card capacity once is FAT32 formatted, using 128 GB in mine at the moment but even 512 GB SDXC will work.
3.Models made since 2014 come already with the newest algorithm, double the RAM,so unless you buy a very old nothing to worry about.
4.If you buy new you get 6 Years warranty.
5.Charles is a nice guy, very innovative and a genius.Talk nice to him and he will talk nice to you.
6.With this player you never need other all your life, everything will come and go LPG,AK380,etc.They will freeze, slow down.
7. Best advice try to listen to one of you can and Only After you've done that start criticising the guy behind it or the player itself.
8.If you have any questions at all about anything i wrote just PM,i have all the answers for you.

It sounds like you're very happy and satisfied with your Tera player. Out of curiosity than why are you on this thread?

will ibasso support rooting as rooting and v4a are important to many bass head users, as all stock players have issues with having a bad eq and dsp, especially i tried dx 100 and dx80 and the stock player its eq was terrible. Those companies that make android based daps should consider having neutron having access to the dac and also support rooting to get v4a peroid, otherwise why go the android route

My comment about the cost to manufacture the iPhone was simply to show the profit margins involved in the sale of tech products, I was not at all suggesting or inferring that Apple's buying power related to economies-of-scale can be matched by DAP makers.

And considering that Smartphones are being made in India for $12, the cost to manufacture tech products is not as much as some people think, especially since we know the cost of the best DACs are only around $20 and the DAP is made in China.

I wasn't pointing you at, my apologies if I came across in a negative way. I just wanted to state the painfully obvious, that's all.

I certainly am for lower prices, and don't agree with the pricing scheme of AK, but there has to be a fair price point somewhere. I think Ibasso tries to price fairly, while still maintaining a profit.

As far as musicday, he's definitely not Charles, as funny as that is. He just loves his player and is more than welcome to be in this thread or any other thread, regardless of his love of the Tera Player. Not sure why it would be bad for him to be in another DAP thread while loving his Tera Player. I certain relate to the sentiment of his obsession with the TP, and it can be annoying at times, but the man loves his device. Nothing really wrong with that.

The DX200 will be a very versatile player and many 1000's of hours are being spent by out software team to get the UI smooth. No one wants bugs or a system that is hard to use. The hardware is complete and has been for a while on the DX200. So now we wait to iron out the software so that music will be the only real concern. I have always enjoyed the sound from the DX100 and we have improved on the sound so I think many will like what they hear.

@ Paul:

Apparently, the best player in the world only plays .wav files, and only accepts 16gb max memory cards, so I hope the DX200 will also only accept 16gb expansion and play no file formats other than .wav

Oh, and if you could possibly make the touchscreen completely blank, so we cannot visually navigate the music files, that would be much appreciated, too.

Thankyou!

Even better sound than DX100 with a smooth working UI will probably lead to this scenario...

Hoping on a reasonable pricetag, fast scanning and good battery life as well

I also hope the DX200 can be bought directly (wasn't possible with the IT03) from the iBasso site after launch?

Actually, that's just reminded me...

@ Paul:  would it be feasible for the DAP to have a user-selectable option, so that card scanning is manual, so that it doesn't index/scan the memory cards every time the DAP boots?

I often go for many months without changing the files on my memory cards, so it's a pain to have to wait for the DAP to scan them every time I boot, when it's completely unnecessary to update the indexed library.

Excellent point. Scanning every time can be frustrating, only exception, is my Cowon P1. Scans almost instantly on boot. Go Linux!!

Haha, yeah! The first time I scanned my zillion files with P1 I was looking for hidden cameras afterwards.
I was in complete shock => just couldn't believe how fast that worked
