Christmas is coming a little early at our offices as we have just launched our new “HM2” headphones by Brainwavz! With foldable arms and adjustable cup heights, the HM2 make a great travel companion for on the go users as well as being lightweight and durable!

Coupled with the sleek, foldable design is a newly designed headphone carrying case, and we are throwing in 2 cables, both 1.2 m in length and one coming with a In-Line Microphone with a multi-function single button remote for both audio playback and call controls.

How do they sound? The HM2 have a smooth sound signature and designed to work with most genres of music.

The Brainwavz HM2 Headphones will retail for US$49.50, they will come with 2 sets of cables (one with microphone & remote), along with a newly designed headphone case.

Find out more about our Brainwavz HM2 Headphones here.

When will they go on sale? Check back @ MP4 Nation on Nov 30th, Cyber Monday, for a very special deal, it just make for the ideal Christmas gift

Someone take the plunge please - I would but I'm currently trying to SELL my stupidly vast collection. Didn't like the HM9 much - sort of average. REALLY didn't like the HM5 (you could hear the cheapo plastic it's made of. That was a first.)

So I personally don't rate Brainwavz much.

I really hope the get this one right - their other headphones have been close but not good.

I'm not buying it though unless it's better than the Sony aaP100 new one. Not outstanding but seriously good. That's the competition... you'd THINK but the Brainwavz are currently 40 dollars US, on a deal.

By the way, Brainwavz et al, a headphone is much more annoying to travel with when it folds in on itself to make a giant lump rather than folding flat. For taking up less space, folding as flat as possible is ESSENTIAL, folding into a gigantic potato is actually more annoying than useful. Stop doing that - it serves no purpose. Flat always. Look, my A4 sheet of paper folds into this handy 6cm cube. Okay now it's really difficult to put anywhere.

Yes, they arrived today and I had a couple of minutes to listen to them already, right now just after work.

Sound is smooth, bass-emphasised, rich, laid-back, dark, also a bit warm -> just as Brainwavz described them and imho a good otg signature. Atm, I think they are quite good for the money. Need (much) more time to get used to them for sure (also haven't used any full-sized headphones lately, so I need to do some cross-comparisons first) and get a better overview, but my initial impression is that they offer quite good quality and value for the price.

To my surprise, there is no head-band padding, but clamping force is good enough (not too firm though, clearly less than the Sennheiser HD 600, but (joyfully) more than the Shure SRH440) so that the lack of the padding is no con.

Yup, no headband-padding (also visible on the official product page/pictures http://www.brainwavzaudio.com/products/hm2-headphones?variant=6644195525).

Not a con for me though, weight is low and no pressure from the top yet, and I have very short hair at the moment (have them on my head for ~1 hour).

Not really a fan of the flat, non-mic cable though - no strain relief at all. The mic/remote cable is round, has got excellent strain relief, but the volume control is an analogue slider...

...my pair arrived with this evening's mail. Listened to them very briefly...nice construction on the cans. Feels very solid, fits nicely on my big head and ears as well.
