The Newest News from Jerry Harvey Audio HQ - Read it or weep!!

Hello Head-Fiers,
 
It’s been a little over a year since I was appointed President of Jerry Harvey Audio. At that time many of you had experienced long wait times on your orders and less then stellar Customer Service. I posted in the Head-fi forum at head-fi.org to let you all know that Jerry Harvey Audio was experiencing extreme growing pains, and while, as I explained then, it is every company’s dream to have this kind of double digit growth, it is that vary growth that has been the beginning of the end of many a promising young company. Without making the proper investments in infrastructure, technology, and people this could have been the fate of JH Audio.
 
From the beginning, Jerry Harvey Audio was founded on advancing the In-Ear Monitor sonically, ergonomically, and cosmetically. Our proving ground is and will always be Professional Audio, one of the most unforgiving arenas known to man. Jerry’s long history in the industry and our unprecedented access to the biggest touring artists in the world has allowed JHA what no other IEM company has, a unique opportunity to develop and test our products with the people who create the music we all covet. It is through this that Jerry Harvey Audio is able to continue to lead the industry through innovation and uncompromising audio quality.
 
The danger of navigating such growth is staying true to the core principles that make the company great to begin with. And after a year of very hard work by the JH team and sizable investments in the aforementioned infrastructure, technology, and people we are happy report to you the following improvements:
 
 
Infrastructure Investments
 
Staff: We have increased our staff from 25 to 58 employees. JHAudio IEMs continue to be custom made by hand in ourHQ in Orlando, Florida in the good old USA. Our Staff is made up of highly skilled and talented specialists. Finding and training that many new people was no small feat and a huge thanks goes to our core group of very talented,existing staff for recruiting and training new members of our Lab. We have also added many other new team members in the Order Processing, Customer Service,and Repair departments.
 
Technology and Machinery: While all JH Custom IEMS are handcrafted, there have been significant technological advancements that can, when used properly, advance state of the existing art. We have made significant investments in 3D Modeling, 3D Printing Technologies, and Automated CNC Machinery.  
 
New JHAudio HQ: As you can imagine, adding this many new people and machinery put some serious stress on our existing facility. We are happy announce that in October we will be moving into a new state-of-the-art facility that will more than quadruple our current facility’s square footage. The new facility is located in downtown Orlando and after we get moved in this fall we invite you all to come down for a tour of our new HQ!
 
We are also very happy to report to you that these changes, investments, new technologies, and just plain hard work has yielded the following improvement in our response time to your needs:
 
 
Turn Around Time
 
Custom Acrylic IEMs
     o  Turn Around time: 2 weeks -The two-week clock begins at the time we receive your impressions till we craft your IEMs and they ship from our Florida HQ.
 
Carbon Fiber IEMs
     o  Turn Around Time: 3 weeks - The three-week clock is begins at the time we receive your impressions till we craft your IEMs and they ship from our Florida HQ.
 
While we are very proud of our much-reduced turn around times, I am most proud that we have not only become faster but also stayed true to our core values while further pushing the performance envelope.
 
 
New Products
 
Angie and Layla CIEMs: This year we launched the all new Siren Series, Angie and LaylaCIEMs. These Mastering and Reference Quality IEMs join the Roxanne and have been wildly accepted in both the Audiophile and the Professional markets with artists such as Gwen Stefani, Mick Jagger, U2, Madonna, Van Halen, and many more currently using the Siren Series CIEMs on tour.
 
Angie and Layla Universal IEMs: We have also developed Angie and Layla Universal IEMs. These new and innovative Universals join fellow Siren Series Roxanne Universals and are offered exclusively through our partnership with Astell&Kern, makers of some of the finest High-Resolution Digital Audio Players in the world.
 
 
 
All and all it’s been a very busy year for all of us at Jerry Harvey Audio, and we are just getting started! We have many exciting things to come and will always strive to lead the industry by innovating!

That's awesome guys congrats on your expansion and the loyalty program is super appreciated, I also seen you added a little treat in there for new members as well thanks. Best towards the future and hopefully I myself will have the honor of trying one of your products out myself someday.

Oh jh audio i love the roxanne and angie, i currently own both universals but i have got to admit, you guys still have a long way to go espiecially in quality control and customer service. My roxanne recently developed a crack at the nozzle while removing the eartip, bought it down to the dealer and they had to charge me shipping back to jh (im from asia) and jh had to charge me 212 bucks (it was still under 1 year warranty) to fix the damn crack which im pretty sure wasnt caused by me, and the worst thing is after receiving it back, the crack was still visible,it was merely patched over by another thin layer of acrylic,and as of now, due to the lousy quality RMA a new crack has developed in the same area and are currently being shipped back to you all, the 1st rma took 1.5 months, now i dont know how long i have to wait or pay again, this sucks real bad

Quite a pathetic response, emailed them about joining the Crew as a returning customer but they couldn't find my "username". Asked me to send a print screen of my account, sent to them showing my order page as the username doesn't appear in the page but no reply after more than a week even after sending them a reminder.

If this is the kind of customer service even after all the changes for the better then i'd stay far away from this company...

The turnover time is real though, I ordered the JH13s on July 26th and got it delivered to my doorstep on August 29th, just a little over a month. Considering the horror stories I've heard of (8 month wait for Roxannes) this is very impressive. Perfect fit too!

Andy:  I'm very happy with my custom Angies.  Amazing sound quality from IEMs!

Does the loyalty program still apply if I purchased my first set last month?


It took just over a month to get my custom Layla's. I was mentally prepared for adjustments to be made or for my ears to acclimate to the sound, but they are perfect from the very beginning.

I had them in my ears for the better part of the last two days and they'd still be in my ears if I could wear them at work.

Does this apply to all new orders? I've just put an order in through a distributor and they've quoted me a much longer turn around time based on their past experiences. I suspect the additional time comes from being an Aussie.
