Man, you Saints and Bengal's fans are so mean

LOL JK is just putting some feedback/preference out here and you shoot us down, we know FiiO is not going to do a redesign of this thing but if they did make a DAP that would drive my iem's as long as my Tomahawk will on two triple a batteries I could deal with the size and carrying two extra batts

Going back to the wall charger you may as well have a corded DAP like this thing

it ain't gonna happen. The unit has already been designed and will be available next month. You need to give it a rest. My two children have tablets they charge on their own every night. They are 4 & 6 yrs. old. They see the battery icon get low and they charge it. It's that easy

+1 on that. No real need for constant requests about 40+ battery life. You can charge your stuff everywhere these days and that's why manufacturers are going for other features - higher output power, bigger screen, smaller thinner body, etc. And for emergencies one can carry a USB power bank. There are some pretty small USB power banks nowadays that you can put in a pocket without much extra bulk.

There will be other models in the future. If Fiio wants to gain market share in mp3 players, they should focus on providing something very different than what is available now.

Different people have different needs. For some people charging a player frequently is much more inconvenient than it is for others.

Charging lion batteries is time consuming. Many don't want to frequently allocate the 3 hours or so it takes to charge a player. Charging a player from a battery pack is cumbersome, and over 30% of the power is lost in the transfer process. I would much rather have a slightly thicker player than to have to carry a battery pack and usb cable. I am asking for 40 hours of battery life, not 400. For a 40 hour battery life, a player might have to be 15% or 20% thicker than one that gets 18 hours. Imo the extra thickness is well worth it. I'm not saying that every player under $100 should give 40+ hours of play time, only that some models with a card slot that are under $100 should provide 40+ hours of battery life. For me and many others, getting 40 hours of battery life instead of 18 hours makes the player much more convenient.
