And have you tried Aegis with iPhone 6? Any sound differences besides the volume steps?  I've been told Aegis can sound different across various devices, I was also specifically informed to try with my laptop for good results.
 
Its funny, we all seem to be rampaging down smartphone/Aegis highway without much mention of its use as a deskstop dac/amp.

5 hours of audio is actually about what I get with my DX90, so Aegis + iPhone sounding as good or better than DX90 + same battery life = win.

Of course it'd be great if power draw were lower, but throwing an extra battery in my bag so I can top off as needed is something I do anyway. I bet others do, too.

And no streaming from my DX90 or X5, so DAP + Amp brick ain't gonna help me achieve my goal of great sound with streaming services - yet anyways.

 I have never really used my iphone as a music player. Too small and too cluttered with other chores .Just from short testing it seemed brighter and bigger. I'm sure other folks could give a better level of insight than mine re: ip6+Aegis

Well, right now, I get a day out of my 2800mAh battery in my S5, but that's under heavy use, streaming, music, surfing, etc. I have a 3800mAh battery coming in the mail today, fits under the stock cover, and, as I do less playing with my phone, I should get more life from it. Right now, half the stuff I do is screen on, just playing with settings.

Most the my usage with the Aegis has been through my work PC. I find it to be a better match that a smart phone. I also got very good results using a Window 10 tablet. It works well through a phone, but personally, I prefer using my phone as is.

  That place has always been good to me but they take a while to ship sometimes. In this case it helped me not bork you..Yay!
 
I was super bummed..I wanted THAT one since it's flat. My first try with the Aegis was with a Cayin short flat usb that was for charging but I tried...no go. Saw the e18 cables and thought no way...must be one data/power and one power version but they were both the same...and when it lit up and sang I was alll..VELCRO!!!

I got the twister one coming too so it will be fine but that flatty is a bady...and What is with all the usb micro versions??
