Hi guys. @cattlethief just let me know FW 1.22 has a bug that introduces somewhat random Folder sorting. I confirmed that and have a fix for any of you who've updated to 1.22 and are experiencing random folder sorting.

That FW sorts folders properly for me. Thanks again to @cattlethief for pointing out that bug, which I'll pass onto my contact at Aune.

Sorry it wasn't clear. After cattlethief pointed out the sorting error with 1.22, I tried downgrading to 1.21 which didn't have this error. The M2 wouldn't downgrade directly from 1.22 -> 1.21, so I was trying to recommend a two-step process of:
1.22 -> 1.114 -> 1.21

If you're not on 1.22, I'd suggest either staying where you are or moving up to 1.21, which was the last FW Aune put up on their site.

Here's how 1.22 ordered my folders:


All the songs were in numerical order (01 song1, 02 song2, etc.) but the folders were out of sort order. I'm letting Aune know now.

That would make me crazy. Just like the sorting problems on the Fiio M3. The Fiio solution is to run a 3rd party utility that reorders the files on the SD Card (I want to know what they are smoking over there at Fiio).
 
Anyway, I just ordered an M2S.  I really need to stop reading reviews.  Mimouille, this one is your fault. But, you have a long way to go to catch up to Twister6.  His reviews have cost me a lot of money.

on mine every single album songs are all over the place and not in correct order,ive a feeling its going to be a long and cold winter in Aune land!

Good day, I have Aune M2Pro and card for him to 64GB on it written 1000 songs list in the root of the card, without folders when inserting it into the player, then reads all exactly 501 song, apparently there is a restriction, is there a solution to this problem ? Firmware 1.22

Yes, put your songs in separate folders...that is all for now sorry.
