This time the headlight of the X5ii is the sound but not the UI/shape , below is the some detial information.

the LPF is OPA1652, and the OP is OPA1612, and the buf is BUF634, it is powered by 14V , it is 40% higher than X5

Wow! Looks good James. Do you mind sharing what DAC is being used?

sorry not everyone need the cable so we decided not to bundle it together in the future. anyway , this is the bonus for every FiiO's user cause I don't see any similar products from other brands.

Not a big problem!

I wish you would still be producing straight interconnects cables, the L angled ones do not work so good for me. Romania stores do not keep straight fiio L16 interconnects, and told me you do not produce anymore straight ones, but only angled ones. Buying from aliexpress is not so good, as shipment costs me 20$.

I do not necessarly want one to test myself, i am much more interested in buying one, i think that if you send one to Romania, i can also test it, so i do not need to be a part, but I really wish you to send one to Romania for testings.

If applying for the tour you are basically agreeing to do a review of the product.

it is a single PCM1792A as X5. we have not plan to implement dual DAC in our DAP. even in X7.

Thank you sharing info with us, James.

Does this mean that X5II will be able to drive "demanding" earphones or headphones?

I own a X1 (1srt real DAP) that is to weak to drive my Earsonics SM64 IEM (98ohms impedance) without an amplifier. X1 Line Out does a good job though but do you think I might be able to drive SM64 without amp?

At the risk of ticking some folk off, I believe Head-Fi thrives on a certain amount of mystery. The Yggdrasil thread was over 300 pages before CANJAM 2015 : up to that point, only a handful of people had heard the prototype in a setting I would consider realistic for gathering any sort of worthwhile impressions. Extraordinary considering the wider audio press knew less than a lone Head-Fier armed with a couple of vintage DACs, a prototype and some very strong opinions.

And let's not forget the vaunted X7 thread.  ...Need I say more?  Can't remember how many pages it's reached, but several more months of waiting?

The x7 thread derived a lot and fast, but not because it was there too early, but because people are restless. anyways, it is a fun thread to read from time to time.

  It looks so good.

I also would really love to get some sort of dicsount when upgrading from x5 to x5k, but if that is not possible i will just sell my x5.

I also hope that Fiio wil also  sell a stacking kit for it, that containst the wire part, as the stacking kit for x1 only contained the plastic frame and the rubber bands...

+1!

Their HS6 stacking kit for the X5 did include a wire interconnect. *UPDATE* Based on what James has said, the stacking kits may no longer include wires.  However, I have seen the FiiO wire interconnects for sale separately on the mega-big online sales site.
Cheers!

Ok, I see a lot of interest in the upcoming X5 2nd gen world tour, so I may as well strike while the iron is hot

Instead of creating a separate tour thread, I thought it might also work if I took applications in this thread together with the homies

So as before, here's the complete set of info for applicants to submit:

-Headphone(s) you possess:
-DAP(s) you possess:
-FiiO product(s) you possess (if any):
-Descriptions and links to review(s) you have posted (if any):
-Your geographical region (e.g. the city and country you live in):
-Language(s) you can read:

Shipping info:
Depending on the geographical distribution of selected reviewers, FiiO will ship out several X5's, one or more to reviewers in each region, e.g. SE Asia, Europe, Americas, Pacific region, etc. so that shipping costs from one reviewer to the next is kept low. FiiO will pay for shipping to the first reviewer and from the last reviewer back to FiiO for each region.

•Please note that the review X5's will not ship with micro SD cards. Please prepare your own micro SD cards and music files for review and preferably format the cards within the X5 prior to use.

Review regulations (subject to change before the tour commences):
•Reviewers should keep the X5 for at most 10 days before shipping to the next reviewer.
•Reviewers should ship the X5 to the next reviewer by registered post requiring signature in the padded box provided.
•Reviewers will not be held responsible for any damage to the X5 sustained during shipping or normal usage.
•Reviewers should do the review fairly and objectively, and related product photos are required. Alternatively review videos are welcome
•Reviewers should not overstate the advantages of the products.
•Reviewers should indicate that the review X5's are free loan units, in order to avoid any misunderstandings.
•Reviewers are prohibited from using or disseminating pirated music on the X5.
•Reviewers are reminded to listen responsibly and safely to the X5, to not use it when operating machinery or driving, and not to drive headphones to excessive volume with the X5.
Changed rule: Reviewers don't need to send the review content to Joe Bloggs by pm for fact-checking prior to publishing—you may post your review directly to the product page (which I will create soon). But I would appreciate receiving notification that you've posted the review, so I can go about doing this basic fact-checking. I will contact you if I see anything that needs to be corrected. As before, we will only request corrections to basic facts regarding the specs / operation of the player and you may post the requested corrections alongside the original text for readers' reference.

Could @x RELIC x please copy the above to the OP, and could those who have expressed interest before this post post again with the full application info requested?

For those in New Zealand and Australia who are interested, please contact @Brooko with the same info, he's becoming something of an official FiiO tour organizer for that region
wink.gif
Once again thank you Brooko for assuming such responsibility! (Believe me, it's more work than fun

If you keep releasing DAPs FiiO there isn't going to be any more room left on the source gear forum page.

You need to slow down there...
