Oh, I see now. Thanks! Yes, love me some electro. Do they play it at Nikki Beach?
Dont think so unless its a special night but Ultra Fest will.

With the Mojo I have the translucent KZ ATE in one jack and the XB90EX in the other jack. There's more sub bass rumble on the KZ ATE but otherwise sounds almost identical. Something is wrong here.

PS The KZ ATE sounds like garbage unamped IMO. The Arrow 5TX made it sound pretty OK, the Mojo makes it sound pretty good.

(I have xb90ex in one ear and translucent KZ ate in the other, same tips, the KZ has more "rumble" and the 90EX has clearer highs, bass overall is about equal)

if u use v4a lower output gain by -1.9

i had this issue with v4a and when i boost eq it really created a mess

also disable dvc in poweramp

Just wanted to point out this fixed my issues with bass overwhelming the mix. now i'm booming bass and the whole mix comes thru. thanks!

edit: Damn it, double posted instead of editing again.

These just came in from Tokyo. Can't believe it only took 3 days from Tokyo to Vancouver.

Will report back on how they sound.

I'm looking forward to your impressions.
I've been swapping between the XBA-Z5, MDR-7550 and HA-FX1100.

The FX1100 is a niche performer. It isn't an all-rounder, but it really shines with acoustic and close mic'ed vocals.

I've listened to a couple of songs on them so far. These have a very "likable" signature to them. I'll need a few days to really settle down on my impressions.

When I first got the W50, I didn't think I would like them as much as I do now. After a week, I find little nuances and detail subtleties that make me love them even more.

Looking forward to feeling the same with the FX1100. Will report back in a few.

Yes.

The Mojo allows for "A" "B" 'ing of 2 IEM at the same time and the ex800st are still my benchmark. I have moved along from many items but have never moved away from the SZ for pure basshead experience and now the 800's..for being an epic mix of SZ and MA900.
When you A B with something that has 2 jacks does it split the available power? So if your dac/amp can output 600mw would it max out at 300mw with pushing 2 headphones of the same resistance? Also, do they have problems if the resistances are different?

It does not. I made awful sure to make sure output power was absolutely unchanged regardless of what was plugged in where.

You can combine any two on the Mojo and it just figures it out. Everything I try sounds better than my Arrow 5TX at the optimal gain etc settings did. I think because it's FPGA based it's able to easily calculate what kind of load to throw at the phones.

Glad you got it. Depth retrieval and bass performance in impressive in that I can eq less but yield greater results with this compared to previous amps. No idea why but everything sounds better through this thing

I'm really torn between the Fiio X7 and Mojo for my next purchase. I was leaning towards X7 first because I miss having a dedicated DAP (I nice one not low budget Fiio), but recent posts have me leaning towards mojo. I'm buying both eventually, but one at a time. I think I'll be happier with mojo first, plus that will give more time for additional modules being made for fiio.

Or I could sell my Fostex Th900 and make the wait a bit less. Could always purchase the Th900 again if I miss them that much, which I doubt I will. They don't get much head time unfortunately. I really prefer IEMS.

Damn decisions...

I would say the FX1100 is a pass for me. Just thought I would share my opinions to potential buyers who are looking to get them as a "bassy" IEM.

Good - Loud, very accentuated bass. Great woodwind and percussion music presentation. I like.
Bad - Instrument layering and separation is a mess on faster tracks. Treble can get too hot and piercing sounding on some recordings. The bass can get very boomy at times and mask all the other frequencies. However, even after EQing the bass down, the driver IMHO cannot keep up with fast transients and subtle nuances.

TLDR - These satisfy my bass needs, not my detail/clarity needs.

Looks like I'm taking an immediate depreciation hit once again :frowning2: I've only had these for a day too...
