LH Labs Verb IEM Impressions Thread

Not really.
I'm sending in my pair to a friend who is going to measure them too.

My review was moved to a locked thread for further discussion and to deal with the problem.

LH Labs has used this technique (moving posts and even whole threads to a locked catch-all thread) a number of times recently. It comes across as an aggressive attempt at damage control, actively suppressing if not quite censoring further discussion on topics that are unfavorable to the company. It seems likely to do them a lot more harm than good.

Yes, banned for essentially spamming: posting the exact same text in multiple threads. Also for complaining loudly, making the same statement in largely unrelated threads. Starting threads to continue discussions from buried or deleted threads is a slightly different exercise. Just dont start multiple threads making exactly the same complaint without allowing LH Labs to respond before posting the same complaint elsewhere...

If somebody gets banned for reasonable discussion would definitely raise some noise and red flags...

I essentially became a lurker from their forum after seeing that my comments had to be approved before they go on board. Like I don't have anything against screening them but having to wait for them to appear drove me away. Wasn't really useful when I was trying to make a decision to buy their products.

Posts are only moderated for approval for the first 5 posts (it used to be more) to make sure new users are legitimate and not spamming the threads.

Ahh okay that is fine. Thanks for clearing this up.

So what happened to the Verbs. No news about any new reviews, nor have I seen anyone post about receiving them recently.

WHy would anyone be excited to get them, or take the time to write that they are crappy? The latter has been written with alarming regularity already. Better to use the time to review something with at least some redeeming qualities.

The Verbs are good for EDM, Techno, Trance and other bass heavy genres. I equalize them with my phones music player and bass heavy music sounds good. Not the best in other types though.

Check out my IEM collection in the Best Bass IEM thread and the Verb is equalized for a slightly smoother bass and that's about it. I reduce the mid bass a bit.

Impact and decay becomes snappy after equalization.
