Hello - my name is Rob - new member here - and have really enjoyed the wealth of information these forums contain. I have been a musician since childhood and am constantly in search of quality, tonally well balanced, audio reproduction (and spend way too much money on it than I think my wife would prefer). I haven't posted any recent audio reviews, but would have no issues taking the time to do so for a chance to evaluate a new product. I have a undergraduate degrees in Computer Information Systems and Environmental Science, as well as graduate level Master's degrees in Information Systems Management and Finance. I consider myself to be an articulate writer, with the ability to provide succinct, substantiated, quantitative feedback.

Hello.

I'd be very interested in giving the new X3 a test listen (since I'm 99% sure I'll be buying one when they come out). I love the X3, but I don't like the UI and form factor. I am also very happy to see the addition of in-line remote features.

Here are my particulars:

-Headphone(s) you possess:

I have a few over-the-ear headphones including a pair of Bose QC-15s and a pair of Audio Technica ATH-ANC7b's.

I also have several IEMs including Ultimate Ears 700s and Ultimate Ears Triple-fi 10s. I also have a a pair of Bose QC-20i's. I use a pair of Jabra Sport Bluetooth headphones when I work out.

-DAP(s) you possess:

I have had quite a few DAPs over the years, all of which I have held on to except a Creative Zen 20 GB player, which was my first DAP and died.

I still have a Creative Nomad MuVo 4 GB with remote adapter (which I upgraded with a 6 GB Compact Flash drive), a Sony NW-HD3, a Sony NW-HD5 (which I upgraded with a 40 GB hard drive), an iPod Classic 160 GB, and an iPod Nano 7th Generation. I also have a Fiio X3.

-FiiO product(s) you possess (if any):

I have a Fiio E1 that I use with my iPod Classic, and I have a Fiio X3.

-Descriptions and links to review(s) you have posted (if any):

I've reviewed a few products on Amazon, but it's been a awhile. Otherwise, I don't have any headphone/DAP reviews to speak of. If reviews and the ability to articulate impressions are a concern, I am a technical writer/editor by trade with 15 years of experience. I'd be happy to provide my portfolio or some writing samples upon request.

-Your geographical region (e.g. the city and country you live in):

I live in New Mexico, USA.

-Language(s) you can read:

I can read English, Spanish, and some Russian.

Hi Joe,
Could you please add me to the list if possible ......
I am a newbie to the headphone world , but I guess the review from a newbie will suit the needs of newbie.
Would I have the chance if I am a Hongkonger just like Joe(Joe has already taken the chance, isn't it)

Hi Joe, please add me to the preview list.

Currently I own an iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod Classic, and a Sony Waterproof Walkman NWZ-W273 for swimming. I'm looking to replace my iPod Classic. I primary use it for music at work with a Schiit Audio Magni-2, and for teaching cycling class at a local gyms. So I need something that will work with sweaty hands and sound great on the stereo in the room. It also really needs gap-less playback.

Headphones I currently own are: Sennheiser HD555, Audio Technica Ath-M50, Grado SR60, Bose QuietComfort 20i,  Etymotic Research hf5. I also have owned just about every pair of waterproof in-ear running headphones under $100 (bluetooth and wired); I only get about 6 months out of a pair or running headphones, so I go through a lot of them.

I only speak English, and I live in the Philadelphia region. I have not written any online reviews, but would be happy to write some if the product works well for travel, work, and playback in my cycling classes.
