Questyle QP1

I have the latest Questyle QP1R with the improved click wheel. I got it from Moon Audio. Absolutely no hiss.

Same model, no hiss with Etymotic ER4PTs. After several months with this DAP, the grumbles about the user interface fade against its superb sound quality and power, pocketable size, battery life, and storage capacity with 2 x 200GB microSD cards. Some people want the latest "features" (wifi, Bluetooth, streaming, MQA, Android with games and different music players, whatever), but for simple on-to-go high-quality listening from a library you own, this is it. For instance, I'd not get one of the high-end Sony or A&K units, they are just too bulky (and more expensive).

Thanks everybody!  I don't need or want app, streaming Viper, internet connection, bluetooth or any other junk to take up ram and battery power.  I just need a music player that has great battery, great sound, fairly  simple and easy UI, large capacity space whether internal hard drive or micro sd don't care which.  I also need playlist support of some kind.  Preferably M3U/8

So this should be sweet when I get some money.

Thanks again

Can I rename playlists I create on the QP1R or not?  I was told no external playlist support for this dap by Questyle.  Too bad.  Does the playlist get erased if I power down the dap?  Is there a limit to how many playlists I can create?

Thank you

Okay been loving my Qp1r, but yesterday something strange has happened, and i'm clueless on why or what other steps to take.

If i try to play by category to just shuffle play through my collection at work or home, there's a message saying no files in the library... Then i'll go to browse files, and nothing is showing up??? I'll rescan my cards, and files show, but can only play using browse file.

i tried factory restore, i tried flashing player with an older version of the software, and then updating to the latest version again, but same thing.

Anyone ever have this happen to them? or have any solutions?

Never seen anything like that on mine, but then I only play whole albums. However, I'm wondering if it might be a microSD card problem. What kind do you have?

(2) ScanDisk Ultra xc cards, one is 128 gb & other is 64 gb... was gonna pickup a new one this weekend to test, to see if the cards are the issue...

Basically now, whenever i listen to an album, the library is empty if i want to choose a new album. Do a re-scan and all albums are there... Kinda a pain in the arse

ScanDisk (don't know it) or SanDisk (a reputable brand)? There are a lot of junk, gray market, counterfeit SD cards floating around, which get bought because they are cheaper than the real thing. These are the ones I use without any problem:

My bad Sandisk are the brand i have... I'd take a picture and upload, but crosstalk with this site and tapatalk is a no go, since they updated this site...

Decided to buy a Cayin N3, so i'll test the sd cards in those next week. And if buying new sd cards don't work, i'll contact questyle, to see there thoughts

Thanks!

Sorry that's not working for you. Legit SanDisk micro SD cards are solid (there are counterfeits floating around, however). Out of ideas, unfortunately.

Thanks for your help, but i think its something with the device. found my old 64gb sandisk ultra, and same thing, it will scan, but will not hold the memory of anything it scanned.... Time to drop questyle an email describing the issue

Yech, that sounds like some problem with the QP1R's internal memory :frowning2:

The Shure SRH1540s with Moon Audio Silver Dragon cables, and a Questyle QP1R is damn near an out-of-body experience!

Man just something crazy happened with my QP1R. Was listening to music and was getting ready to switch to another album and when I went to switch it said "playlist" on every line. I did nothing to change things that just came up and i have no playlist's. I turned it off and bake on not hard reset and it was back to normal but that was weird. It also died on me with 90% battery not sure that is what it was for certain but that was the indication .
