Well i have reizu x10 and sansa clip..compare to both off that..raizu have "dry" sound especially in vocal range....
Well how about x2? Dry sound conpare to sansa..???
I was also trying to decide between the Xduoo X2 and the FiiO X1 for my first DAP. For the sake of stability, I just ordered the X1 yesterday, should be arriving in the mail tomorrow...
I've decided that I will ask Penon for a refund for my faulty unit and will wait for the FiiO X3-II to come out. I think it's the best decision for me.

No, there is no acceleration whatsoever anywhere. I keep my library tightly organized in alphabetical folders, so I can find stuff faster but it is still on the slow side. Personally I can live without it but the x2 needs badly acceleration for forwarding or reversing a track as now it is a PITA to go to a specific moment in a track, especially if it's a long one. Slower than my old cassette player.
I have an updated firmware and since the update i believe the fowarding is faster, at least my memory says so. I don´t feel it slow at all now..But i don´t really remember exactly how slow it was but it was one thing that struck me upon first use.
I don´t really fast forward more when comparing headphones and i have my music setup based on genre and i only carry full albums. No "mixed" folder for me
I just updated the firmware last night. Now the center button does not respond very well while in a directory. I have to press it several times, and invariably one of those presses will end up turning the unit off. I also wish the volume screen would not stay up so long when finished adjusting the volume. Just little nitpicks - I'm still enjoying the sound which is the important thing! One thing I did notice is that it would not recognize flac files with id3 tags that are from cd's ripped in EAC, neither before or after the firmware update.
I've decided to use X2 with my Rhapsodio hybrid (this is a $650 hybrid IEM)
Up until today I'd been using Sony NWZ-F806 Walkman with RDB Mini, though always felt it lacked power and a little detail authority, it made the hybrid sound a little soft. it was however, the best synergy I could find for this hybrid which leans towards being rather bright / analyticaland a fraction 'fussy' with sources.
Since listening most of this evening, I've decided to make X2 this hybrids new player.
Somethings X2 does better than the F806.
More driving power (I get the RDB Mini louder which it seems to enjoy) Better separation More revealing detail (kind of a raw detail which strengthens the hybrids posture and control, particularly heard in vocals) Wider soundstage Smoother treble Overall a warmer sound (helps calm the hybrid / increase the versatility)
Somethings F806 still does better:
Slightly more extension on the low end. More coloured presentation (possibly Sony house sound)
Smoother, softer sound (if you like that, I lean the other way)
Apart from that, X2 sounds quite a bit cleaner but also a little sterile which reminds me of the Hisound units (Studio V), very clear, distinct. There were also samples in the background of a few tunes I could hear X2 separating more accurately, whereas the Walkman these samples became lost in the mid-range. Keep in mind this is all imo relative to synergy and completely different results may be achieved using other headphones or IEM between these two players.
Considering all the hype behind the Xduoo X2 and so many seasoned Head-Fi'ers promoting it, I'd go with the Xduoo over the Ruizu. Also, just did a quick search on Amazon/shenzhenaudio/penonaudio and didn't see anything on the Ruizu x02. If it's a cheap Chinese model, you might also want to consider how long it's been out. It's been stated in this thread that these cheap Chinese DAP's usually aren't supported for very long, and the Xduoo X2 is fairly new so it still has decent support. My conclusion - go with the Xduoo (1) based off of what knowledgeable people on Head-Fi are saying about it, and (2) because it's still fairly new and still has decent software support.
