On my p7 it's only ever so slightly there, where on my outdated shure se530 the hiss is not good at all, and I can barely listen to it.
So it really depends on the pairing with the zx2, when you get it right, (solar/zx2 and probably many other IEM) it's a great DAP.
Any way guys, I think I promoted this DAP to death, so I'll sit back and read for a long while.

Does this mean it can be used with the Sennheiser ie800 without modification? Sorry for going OT, but I'm looking for a wireless solution for iems to use with my ZX2.

I just can't believe SONY makes it so difficult to get their LDAC available to the masses (OK, I take that back...it's SONY).  In fact, I can't believe more companies aren't joining the bandwagon of wireless hi-res wireless.  I would kill for a good solution; you won't believe how many times, I've turned my head and my DAP goes flying off the table...
