SONY NW-ZX2

It's probably all due to different sensitivity and impedance ratings of your IEM'S/headphones. I don't think there's different revisions of the zx2's in the wild, and the hiss noise is not bothering me anyway. I know others have heard it, I'm not going nut's. (that's a possibility as well) lol
Or you might need golden ears to hear it. Lol

However anything is possible.
Thanks for checking gentleman.

No it's there. I hear it with my JH13, but only when no music is playing. Once the music is playing I don't hear it so it's not bothering me

Yeah it's so slight it's gone as soon as the first sound starts, to me it adds to the zx2 nostalgia.

And if that's what it takes to make my IEM'S sound this good, then I can live with it.
You must have golden ears as well, :ear:

Haha... I am probably deaf as I hear no hiss and noise whether cold start or warm.

If not, I have a problem set.....

There is a dance of sensitivity and impedance around the zx2 and the hiss,
On my p7 it's only ever so slightly there, where on my outdated shure se530 the hiss is not good at all, and I can barely listen to it.
So it really depends on the pairing with the zx2, when you get it right, (solar/zx2 and probably many other IEM) it's a great DAP.
Any way guys, I think I promoted this DAP to death, so I'll sit back and read for a long while.

Thanks for putting up with my rants it's been fun

It is a great DAP indeed, and I just received my cruzerlite case to match it.

U need to buy that Sony earbuds then modify your cables because it uses senheiser plugs style

Does this mean it can be used with the Sennheiser ie800 without modification? Sorry for going OT, but I'm looking for a wireless solution for iems to use with my ZX2.

Nope these cables use MMCX connector instead of two-pin connector

Bummer. I was hoping they would simply detach. I think I'll look into the new A&K portable Bluetooth receiver.

This is it:  AK XB10.  Now, where can we get this as it looks promising.

I just can't believe SONY makes it so difficult to get their LDAC available to the masses (OK, I take that back...it's SONY).  In fact, I can't believe more companies aren't joining the bandwagon of wireless hi-res wireless.  I would kill for a good solution; you won't believe how many times, I've turned my head and my DAP goes flying off the table...    :)
