I had no idea so I never even tried for a discount. No idea if I qualified but that was a derp move on my part.

Well I did not qualify for the upgrade of V6-Stage or V8...

no need as i just figured out what really drove me insane, so what happened i was away for few days and only had the u12 and the ak380, and i had the album 25 by adele, and played the song hello which was ripped from a CD, and i just kept hearing the bass as if its coming from the right, so I thought man is my left ear having hearing loss, or is my u12 left side not working right, so just today I went to the ak380 thread and it was confirmed by Jazzi that he hears the same thing the bass coming more from the right and piano from the left, which was insane as how could this great song be mastered this way, and when i came home one day I tried other iems and all were showing the same result the bass is coming more from the right in Hello.

the youtube version is mastered differently than the album version

What a strange mixing for that song, and I do not know what wisdom in mixing such a song that way.

So anyway other than that song all other songs and albums sound dam great centered and have the best imaging on u12

The real issue is that your listening to Adele,

They're both nice earphones.

@H20Fidelity Thanks for sharing your impressions. I am trying to decide between A6 and A12.  Could you please share with us how big the difference between the 2 is, in terms of Soundstage, Imaging, Micro Details, Transparency, Dynamics and PRaT?

In terms of sound signature, I am leaning towards the A6. But other aspects have me wanting the A12.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I don't want to guide you on this decision due to the limited time frame I spent with each Adel. It would not be accurate.

If you want any information you can get U12 came across as more expansive in stage and imaging, but U6 was more in my in my shooting range from a slightly more energetic or lively mid-range tonality.

Add many salt grains!

Sorry about that!

So I got my U12 a couple days ago... WOW these babies are truly breathtaking... A very true representation of the music... of that I've never heard of from the other iems i've owned, heck even full sized headphones! The ADEL really gives that great sense of airiness, and I really feel it is more easy on my ears (less fatigue, which I always thought were due to my sensitivity to sibilance). I've got to say though, unlike the first time I heard 1plus2 (wow!), there were no wow factor when I first plugged the U12. But boy do these wonder earphones grow into you like no other! An absolute keeper!

A quick question: My ear canals are between S and M foam tips, the S fits but so does the M albeit a bit tight on the canal which goes a bit uncomfortable (not pain, just nuisance) after about 30 mins of listening. Would I be better off with S or M?

my advise is buy the following tips

1- shure olives
2- westone star tips
3- rha tips
4- sony hybrid filled foam tip

get different sizes until u get which sounds best to you and comfortable, although 2 of those tips are for small bore iems but they all can be stretched over the u12 bore

i am using westone star tip

to find the correct tips u got have at least a set of the best out there until you find which one you really like most and find best sounding to u

in general for iem owners to have different tips from different companies is really advised as tips have the biggest effect on what sound sig you get

Congrats!
Yes they are breathtaking :)

You're one of the first to say there was no wow factor, but I totally get what you mean, the U12 won't wow you right away like some IEMs will (for me it was IE800 that just stunned me right away). They're not tuned to be "in your face spectacular" because they're true to the music, and also because it takes a bit of time to get used to the feel of "being there with the band" that can get quite eerie at the beginning :p They do grow on you very fast though and I was totally wowed after a day or two, with the warm yet transparent multi-layered sound. There is a richness and naturalness to the sound that's quite unique, which makes them non fatiguing and not boring in the long run like more forward in your face signature. I listen time and again to favorite tracks and feel they're new each time around.

Where did you buy the SureSeals? With Aurisonics being bought out by Fender, their site defaults to Fender and I can't find the tips.

I have some news, managed to get someone over there to confirm the reference isn't dropped, right now you can order them via this contact I can give you the email via PM if you want he can create a PayPal order :)

Please also try Spinfits.   These are hands down the best sealing tips and they let the full frequency response shine.  I couldn't get a good seal with any of the stock tips but the Spinfits saved me!

Thanks for your advice! I guess you're right, it's all up to me to find that out what's best sounding. I actually have some shure olives (for my sem6), I'll try that tonight!

Thank you  I absolutely agree ~ It really is the effortless and natural way it sounds, you really won't get bored of it unlike other sigs.

amazing as i never got a good seal with spinfits and they poorly isolate and bass is really affected negatively

the best so far are westone, rha, sony hybrids, and comply
