Bonus picture!

I will not pay €80,- for 120 cm IEM cable! It is not even compatible with A83. What? Compatible ... . Hm .. is it scissor proof?

Some off topic   Never forget my beloved wife's face when I told to her that I bought two mono tube power amps ( don't remember which - it was before some 30 years...and now here is now some 2:00 AM CET and 6 empty beer cans around me...). Asked me what was the price, "2500.- DEM" said (ex West German Marks). She:" So you have this turntable, pre amp or what , do you need  something more to listen your favorite LP? " - asked.(Kind of Blue - btw

) Nothing ,I said as a mermaid. But next day when I mounted  the system the new staff said to me - Hey , there  are two boxes!? Yes darling you know our (!) audio system is stereo, two channel, I mean... Aha oke,I was afraid that you want to pay  more 2500,DM- for left channel, or right how you say usually.  "No darling I paid for  two pieces yesterday  , khm 5000, Marks.."....  We are still in love. Extraordinary person, love you Bea! (But fellows, 5000 DM was a bargain - mybe Burmaster...) . Sorry for off topic theme. Peace out!

I read few pages back that the "newer" version of A83 is not able to fit any random mmcx cable, because they made some kinda lock onto it which prevents the IEMs from spinning... Can somebody confirm this, because I am thinking of getting these, but what's the point if they are not able to take any mmcx cable incase the stock cable breaks...

There is a post/hole system that prevents spinning on the stock cable/earpiece, but my aftermarket Moon Audio cable works fine- the cable spins.  This is on the early version without a slider.

The A83 on all versions have an extra slot next to the mmcx connection that connects with the stock cable to prevent rotation. This means that the stock cable will not rotate due to this feature, but aftermarket cables will.

Essentially, the stock cable is only compatible with the A83, but all mmcx cables are compatible with the A83 regardless. They will just rotate like a Shure earphone.

Don't worry about it. :)

Well, supposedly the ones labeled for Shure will be better than the ones labeled for Westone. This is just hearsay though, I can't confirm as I don't have any labeled for Westone. I do have an aftermarket one labeled for Shure though and that worked just fine.

Even if it ends up being like this no issue, because I come from 215 and I have two of those cables even though other one is kinda broken.

Yep with the "old" A83s will fit all MMCX cables, but with the "new" ones it will not work...
