we have plan to release a 64g or 128g version , all depended on the market. BTW, we may see whether we should put a 1T SSD inside the amp module to you guys who really want a huge storage. of course, price is a big problem.

Really, i'm very interested on 1T SSD inside the amp module. I bought a 1 TB. Kinsgston pendrive but not run on X5 via OTG.

yes, it is possible but does not means we will really do it cause the amp module will become quite long. BTW, the X7 is very good at the OTG support.

Dear all,

Please note that the following point
2,Second batch of 400 units are targeted for release on 15 October, to be sold at 12% off directly to existing FiiO customers. The qualification of being an “existing FiiO customer” is to be established by product registration at www.fiio.net, with the X7 to be shipped to early registrants first.

should read "... to be sold at 12% off directly to existing FiiO customers in China". :o

Sorry for the misleading description earlier. :o

You're still welcome to register your FiiO products by clicking "Registration" in www.fiio.net to create a user account with us:

After creating your account, click on "My product" and enter the authenticity code for your FiiO in the "Register" box. (at the time of this writing there seems to be a bug with this registration module, but this should be sorted out momentarily)

I repeat, there is no plan to sell the X7 early and at discount to any number of registered international FiiO users. :o It can't be a bad thing to register as a FiiO member with your products though... who knows what benefits it may bring in the future? ;)

@Joe Bloggs
are we looking at end of 2015 or early 2016 for international release?

Once again, FiiO's plans for release are listed in the first post. I'm sure they'll post if anything changes.

The X7 market release will come in four steps.

1,First 100 units are targeted for release at the end of September, to be sold at 20% off directly to FiiO’s VIP customers.  The firmware will be beta at this stage.

2,Second batch of 400 units are targeted for release on 15 October, to be sold at 12% off directly to existing FiiO customers.  The qualification of being an “existing FiiO customer” is to be established by product registration at www.fiio.net, with the X7 to be shipped to early registrants first.  Register your FiiO products by clicking the link here:

The firmware will be FW1.0 at this stage.

3,Third batch of 1500 units are targeted for release on 30 October;  these will be sold through our agents in China.

4,X7 stock will be provided to our agents worldwide starting from the fourth batch at the end of November.

I can barely pull 10 hours of play time out of my Sony PHA-3 (a portable DAC/amp with battery, uses a ESS9018 as DAC); that is without a screen and all those Android stuff!!
Well done to the engineers over at Fiio!

Depends on sound quality :D, but it is an impressive feast on paper regardless.

We do not care if the AMP module become quite long.  Some of us already carry a much bulkier system with "a DAP + a HUGO"    or    "a DAP + an external AMP"...

We are really ready to accept 1 inch of extra lengh for an additional 1 To of memory !
