Thank you for your answer for qn2, but I think you probably read too quickly for qn1. I am comparing iFi iDSD Mini (not yet released) with iFi  iDSD Micro (released in mid July 2014) :)
Does the iFi iDSD Mini also come with a battery supply ?

I hope I do not come across as rude, just a consumer trying to find out more about iFi iDSD Mini (You have got competition within your products)

Hi,

The Mini iDSD is still at the prototype stage. The prototype has wall power supply only. It is still quite some months off. We are talking end 2014/early 2015. That one is 100% home-based.

Not rude at all. Keep on asking...

hi ifi guys,

there is a challenge for you this time, besides the whole thing of creating the micro iDSD of course:

what about some kind of group photo with all the people who where involved ! with a left to right of who did what. would be a nice way to put all those hardworking people center stage for a big applause

but no pressure, just an idea

iFi gurus,

Thanks for your continued explanations of the engineering, built in iPurifier is a welcome advancement in the world of portable DACs!
Simpler question:
What is the length of the iFi blue USB male A to USB female A that can be used at the desktop PC (without needing adapter).
Cheers.

You really have got your cables in a tangle haven't you :D

A socket > B socket is the adaptor methinks.

The cable would then be A socket > A plug.

Hi,

We have both A socket - B socket adapter AND cable inside, these are two items.

Things are dynamic!

Gotta a little update tomorrow too!

We cant keep up.

Thanks.

I have almost decided that I will go mobile with an iCAN nano (don't have otg phone - and don't really care about that!).
For my home setup, I still don't know. I really hope I will manage to arrange a listening session with Italian dealer.

HiFi HE-6 takes on the Meaty Monster

We have received a few emails from customers who politely queried whether or not the HiFi Man HE-6 can truly partner with the micro iDSD.

And rightly so.

The HE-6 is one heck of a hungry headphone to drive - it is the most difficult current production headphone out there (the AKG K1000 tops it).

At the outset, we can say that if you wish to drive it to real ear-damaging levels, then no, the micro iDSD will not do that.

But, (in Turbo mode of course) able to drive it LOUD to sensible/usable levels, the micro iDSD is certainly very capable.

You wanna check it out?

This short video clip was made by Linda, a concierge from the iClub.

The iPhone is recording the sound FROM the HE-6, the music is NOT the backing track for the video.

Enjoy!

ps: The track is "Dont Stop the Party" by Pitbull featuring TJR.
