Ps audio direct stream dsd DAC

I bought a used mk2 upgraded from a mk1 (with the old mk1 guts) for $1350 3 weeks ago or so. So it's possible to get a direct stream for $4,400-4,500ish. Helps that the previous buyer took excellent care of the dac too, almost looks brand new.

do you mean you can get a MK1 that's been converter to a Mk2 for that $$, or are you saying you could end up with the Directstream kit plus a used  PWD for that price?  The Directstream kit is $3k by itself iirc

I think he means PS Audio MK 1 upgrade to DS kit.

You can pick up a DS kit for under $2500 through dealers not direct. And pick up the MK 1 for under a grand.

I just did a search on MK1 but no one is selling.

I think its the exact same outer case for MK1, MK2, and DS.

He should have the DS kits in about 2 weeks. Goodluck getting the MK1 though, couldt find any when I did a search today.

FYI, that deal was emailed to me when i inquired him about buying Pwd MK2 w/ bridge for 1950. Then possible upgrade to DS kit 2 weeks later.
Just contact him and see what you come up with.

that is exactly right. Mk1 with ds upgrade kit should be sonically same as ds. Everything in Mk1 is changed out so all you have left is case, ir receiver, and screen.

Yes this is true all parts except the ones posted. They are exactly the same. I took mine on my summer vacation to NC . I found Mac with a aurdivana plus sounds it's best
Down here I have a PC with j river 19 .

Don't understand why owners of DS over at PS Audio is using JRIVER or a software program to source into DS on PDC files... isn't the main purpose of DS the converting factor of all PDC to DSD? I'm only pointing this out because I plan to get the DS next month.
