2f did not sound warm to me at all, tonality very similar to XC. But resolution is definitely a level or two below. IMO not worth going after if you have X/XC, such as I have.

New owner of the XC. They are simply spectacular. Maybe better resolution than LCD3 which I have already sold. Sound signature also fits me perfectly fed by Centrance hifi M8. Very thick, neutral with amazing clarity.

Anyone knows if the Limited Edition XC has different sound signature?

Not sure but I tried to order the LE and both flavors are out of stock. They show available but are NLA.

Yeah, I really wanted the black one, I probably would have used Adorama if they had it. Ended up with the regular flavor.

+1 I was wondering if planar magnetic headphones require a burnin period? Mine sounded amazing right out of the box, thoughts?

Apparently they do as they mention they are already burned in before shipping. I am not finding where I read that however.

I was quite shocked when I finally got to hear the newer XCs at RMAF this weekend. I did review them when they were initially released a few years back, but darn it...the newer ones have tightened things across the board! So very impressed to see the folks at Audeze not sitting back and letting the world pass them by. Very, very impressed!

Just got my brand new bacote XC's in about a week ago. Truly a unique and magical headphone. The best closed headphone I think ever made.

I think I'm going to trade mine in for the LE version. I hope they sound the same. If sound signature is different, I'd rather keep the normal version. I can't seem to find info on that.

Is that a possibility? I would sure like to upgrade mine.
 
It´s not that I don´t like my XCs, but I don´t love them either. They are just a bit boring. 
I actually prefer my Audeze Sine over my XCs. Much more fun to listen to. I did compare them directly, and the XCs are technically more competent, but 
lacking a bit of life. I´m using Chord Hugo btw. Maybe the Hugo is too clean??
