Took a vacation, now I'm back!
The treble and mids of the QB2 don't need EQ at all if you get the right fit IMO. I just tame the bass with Equalizer app, Accudio has poor UI.
You're definitely getting a poor fit, try going deeper, these are not sibilant, the GR07 and S4 are easily more sibilant.
They communicate the most relevant information, matter of fact, all the reported "changes" by people are concerning FR, which you would think the measurements will back, but they don't, burn-in is mostly psychological. As for b, show the proof, otherwise it's just an assumption.
Impressed, but not blown away, yet. They need some EQ or more burn in out of the box. Running them for another hour or so before I try again.
I always use Impulse Response samples, freq response charts, or Accudio from Golden Ears to EQ the best out of my iems/headphones. I just tuned my M50, and the QB2 just aren't beating that sound. Once charts appear for these, I think I can get these to come close.
Keep in mind, these are $30 and the M50 is $150 retail, so that says a lot.

thanks for the comment Bhazard !
so i just got my pair, heard them for the first time now.
gott'a say i'm a little disappointed...mainly because of the treble.
a very similar treble to my Klipsch S4, with that "sssss" and a shallow sound.
mids could use a bit more presence, and the sound is overall on the thin side.
bass is good.
what drew my attention to these in the first place was how comfortable they
seem, and i have to say, they are.
this design is much better than a straight barrel and they just fit lovely.
on the other hand, the stiff flat cord is annoying.
i don't believe in burn-in, but i'll play music through them just in case over-night.

Not to dwell on this most flogged of horses, but a) the standard measurements don't communicate everything and b) control experiments using different specimens of an earphone with different numbers of hours on them have demonstrated appreciable differences.
