I apologize to those I offended and I fully understand how many of you see this as a revenge play. I definitely went about this in the wrong way.

Enjoy your K10's like I'm enjoying my Roxanne's.

All the best K10 thread!

It sounds like you just had a moment, dont worry, we wont hold it against you.

Now you're just missing a Chord Mojo

I think that's something Roxanne and K10 owners can agree upon!

I dont do stacks, too hard for me to use daily at work with it being bulky. I can probably test one out at CanJam also, just to see what they are all about. Last year there was a Hugo sitting right there on the table and I never even tried it.

AK100 and Mojo stack changed that for me. I didn't do stacks either until this combo! Check my profile picture - I'm not sure how synergy is with K10's but I'm sure it'll be good. Mojo is unreal.

Just run a Questyle QP1R and be done with it.

Jokes aside, I run around with only my QP1R. You should have seen the poor state I was listening to before it.

There might of been a chance I would have gone the Mojo route with my J3, but it doesn't have a digital out. The thinness of the J3 would have possibly made me try it. Many people have gone the AK100 stack with the Mojo and K10's. Pretty sure Michael will have his as CanJam.

That was my other choice for players, but it was so new at the time, the prices even on used stay up there, not to mention low amounts being sold.

A point of fact, not everything JH is made in America.  This is not a slight against JH, just a correction of a statement.   As most people know, the main suppliers for balanced armature drivers is Sonion and Knowles.  They have factories outside of the USA. in locations such as Vietnam, Philippines, and China.

I will grant that more than likely JH does utilize certain materials (if not the majority) that are unique to America, and so does Noble, and more than likely a lot of other CIEM/IEM companies do as well. (This is because some of the best materials are found there, and rival other options found else where)

As for Noble being a start up, I'm the type of person that may always see Noble as a start up, and I think it was Mark Cuban that said an entrepreneur should always be paranoid, but I don't mind the work, the stress and the sleepless nights.

How big will Noble get?   I don't know, but for a quick review, lets look at Noble's offerings

- Custom Prestige

- hand made custom "Wizard" art sold at a premium

- hand made Wizard reprints

- Hand made "standard products"

- SLA CIEMs

Universal - since the launch of Noble, we have introduced 7 Universal products

Noble 3
Noble 4
Noble 5
Noble 6
Switch (x2)
Savant
K10U & the K10 UA

Universal - the introduction of a double digit Universal in an aluminium housing

Universal - (Wizard)  Hand Finished Universals with a unique design

Blue Tooth Dongle

Last but not least

The Noble One, studio monitors with an entry price of $16,000

So if Noble is still in start up phase,

Dewey Cox couldn't have said it any better

Jerry has been involved in this industry in some shape or form for probably 2 decades, so he must be doing something right.

As for Noble, the reviews indicate we must be doing something right as well.

I don't have the vocabulary to describe what I hear so I apologize ahead of time.

I have both the JH 16s and the K10s.
To my ears, the JH16s are like a Corvette, raw power, thump. On the other hand, the K10s are like a refined Italian car such as a Lamborghini or Ferrari.

I enjoy both for different reasons. If I had to pick one, it would be the Italian car.

:)

Be proud of what you've accomplished - all the credit to you. As I've stated several times - competition is very good and I'm sure Noble makes a good product (I always said that the quality looks to be quite good).

I think you've put a negative connotation around what a startup is - but that's fine; call it whatever you want. If you think you have a scaleable business that has penetrated the market and disrupted the main players, then hats off to you. If your goal is to stay small, then also fair: but I used the word startup to refer to you as a growing company seeking scale, but if you'd rather be called a small business, so be it. You are one of the newer companies on the block and are coming out with exciting things so I'm sure you're doing something right.

I'm exactly like you - I compare and listen to by ear. No fancy words or terms needed. If I like, I like.

JH being one of the originators, if not the originator, of the IEM concept, has contributed immeasurably to advancing the state of the art. Going through the Westone/UE debacle, surviving, and then starting up UE again independently before Logitec stepped in, and then starting another life as JH, is an interesting history of dedication and survival. You could say JH has gone through multiple startups, re-inventing himself continually, even though his overall involvement with the industry has been longer than anybody else. So he is an "oldie", but also a "newbie". Not too many of those you can point to.

And Noble, who is one of the most interesting of the "new" companies, with a product that we all enjoy, which is able to create "magic". The industry is lucky to have people who are dedicated to, and enjoy what they are doing.

So there are parallels. Both JH and Noble are fanatical about their products, and try to make the best that they can.

They are both "startups", one way or another.

Here is an appropriate quote from musical history, Bob Dylan's Forever Young: May you both stay "forever young", and always hungry for more.

And as Spock would say: Live Long, and Prosper

Anyways - I probably shouldn't go on anymore. Let's see what the future holds! Maybe Noble can come up with technologies that are worthy of a patent and can compete with the likes of Freqphase and the various crossovers JH has.  I haven't tried the K10's but I'm sure they're not that bad compared to the Roxanne's, Laylas, Angies or even Rosie's.

Nice parting shots! Unbelievable

The K10 is still the number one rated IEM on this site, it didn't get there by not being able to produce a sound people like. Generally when something gets a number one rating, they are things that cost MUCH less, but the fact a $1599 item is number one, speaks volumes. Go look at the review order, right after the K10 is a much cheaper product, you have to get to the UM Miracle to see another pricey IEM.
