My bad: nobody said theT50RP will be out of production, I just presume Fostex are not stupid people and they're losing a market share willing to explode just like they did with Denons.

$600-$700 is not too bad if it performs well. Nice the prototype is light, I just hope they change the headband for the production version. I'm being wishful.

I'm just basing off of the fact the th600 and th900 is so priced up there. I find things so weird, seems like headphone prices are increasing and amps price can be found lower. Maybe it's just me.

based upon being the key phrase, we have zero idea of what has been modified on the driver, or if there is even some glitch in communication about that , if wrong wording was used

Consider the grand degree of difference in size of everything between MrSpeakers and Foster.

True enough. Though no doubt they could make a great-sounding yet affordable phone.

+1000.  I love the comfort of the DX000 and TH600 and 900.  Would love an ortho that is actually comfortable to wear.  The T50RP driver is pretty special with the benefit of being very light compared to the Audeze and Hifiman option.  Very excited for this.  I don't expect T50RP pricing since Dan has really set price expectations high for this driver (too much, I think, but the market doesn't agree with me), but I really hope Fostex makes them reasonably priced.  Like $300ish tops.

I am stunned that people will pay that price considering he didn't even change the frame.  Literally $20 of mod materials plus a new plastic cup.  Well, plus the leather pads that cost him maybe another $20.  I know the tuning is the special sauce, but still.  As a consumer who dabbles in DIY, I think he is a jerk for charging that much.  But as someone with an MBA, I have to applaud him.  I just hope he didn't skew the market so much that Fostex charges TH600 money for the new headphones.  They are using a much nicer frame in addition to new cups and tuning.

If these end up $300 I'm in for 4 pairs. No, given how overpriced the TH600/900 is tbh I don't see this no less than $600. If Fostex charges $600+ for a T50RP drive in a nicer shell, no longer my interest will be there.

Then what do you think of LFF and how his Paradox has been $500 forever. And that's just the basic version.
 
I swear it seems some praise Luis all the while slamming Dan. At least seemingly the AD stepped it up in SQ a bit.
