My firmware update fixed a lot, but there are still some funky things going on.
1. Where is the Favorites Bin? How do you get to it and how do you add a track into the Favorites in the first place? Adding a Favorite Track should take place inside the Current Track Playing window. Not in any directory mode, whatever is playing right now should be able to be added to a Favorite area. It would be nice if the Favorite Bin were added to the main menu under Genre. This seems like a no brainer thing...there is a dead button right in the middle of My Music and Settings. Its a blank block. That should be the Favorite this Track button. Pre-Firmware update in some menus you can get that Favorites window to pop up via touching the very small album art file in the Directory viewer, but not in the Current Playing Track where it should be available. How did nobody else notice the absence of a Favorite Bin?
2. Albums, Artists and Genre tracks do not really appear in any logical order. They aren't in alphabetical order, nor are they in the physical order on my SDcard or internal storage. So how are Albums and Artists actually grouped? What defines it? I am happy all the tracks inside any album are always grouped together. A minor gripe, but it would be really nice to have the ability to see exactly how everything is grouped on the SDcard or internal storage, or if they are grouped in alphabetical order in accordance with the Album title in every bin you choose: All music, Artist, Album and Genre.
3. The album and genre light up into a white font when you touch them inside the currently playing track area. Why?
4. Tapping the Album Art should lead to the Track Information area. Instead, nothing happens.
5. The Now Playing Bin off the main menu is completely useless and negates the idea behind the Current Track Playing window that you get to by pressing the Home button on the top right. This Now Playing access should take you right to the same place the Home button takes you to. Now Playing instead takes you to a giant list of every track on the player, grouped together by Album. This makes no sense at all. Get rid of this Now Playing and swap it for a true Favorites Menu. The Home House button on the Top Right of the player is the real Current Playing Track access Function. There are actually two ways to get to it, either tapping the Home button, or tapping the Back arrow off the main menu on the top left. Both get you to the same place.
These all seem like very easy fixes that I hope are addressed in the next update.
