Used to carry a extra battery but after reading that it would explode I immediately took mine out :[

Reposting from the closed thread: anyone tried this yet with the ASG-1? I might get lucky with a used one, and I already like it with my S3, but by next year I'll be away from my main rig at home (and power sockets) a lot so I'm considering a dedicated DAP.

the problem is how dx50 scan the content..64gb already took 3-5mins..imagine everytime you plug in 500gb and it need to scan 30mins before you can use your dx50 again...i will say..forget about it

Based on my brief experiment with self powered 500gb hdd, i would not recommend people using it with dx50. Its just too much for this little device

In CosmicHolyGhost's experiment, DX50 took only 3 mins to list 500GB.

Would you please elaborate why OTG w/HDD is too much for DX50? Anything wrong with it besides screen color fading a bit? Does DX50 play songs from HDD? Did your DX50 baby cry and ask you to be gentle with her

Check your emails ive had one from ibasso with info re new firmware - it looks like its now available

Going off their site minus a typo error it appears all of the third batch have been reserved and they're proceeding with batch 4.


No firmware I could see though on the site currently. 

First batch: 300pcs, will be shipped on Aug 26th. (all of the first batch DX50s were reserved)
Second batch: 500pcs, will be shipped on Sep 6th. (all of the second batch DX50s were reserved)
Third batch: 500pcs, will be shipped on Sep 16th. (all of the second batch DX50s were reserved)
Fourth batch: 500pcs, will be shipped on Sep 27th.
......

I just think it consumed too much memory and power to continue to read from usb so to display the number of folders... The sign of screen color turning pale made me to stop after playing the track after 15 sec...

It was really just a brief experiment and i hope noone will run into trouble
