What headphone will you be using?

Mainly my Vsonic GR07be and VSD1S, but not limited to. The main reason is for more separation not so much for more power as there is plenty.

I am agree with jamato8 recommendation
for high end amp The Intruder and
DAC Amp combo for better SQ DB2 as DAC. and PB2 as Amp or you can combine with the Intruder going in Balance mode

I use the 71b (old version) + uber m2m +balanced uber1p2/ SE DuchessCrown846 for AK120/DX50, n find the dx50+1p2 is fabulous, no big difference to the AK combo at all. But the 846 feels to me nicer straight onto both AK n DX... Perhaps rsa house sound not very matching? n I am looking into adding another amp, considering VorzAMPduo, International or RxMK3, any comment pls?

is there significant advantage of feeding SE signal into a balance amp? my impression was to feed digital signal into a balance dac and balance amp to get the most out of it.

It depends upon your phones and how they sound balanced. It works. I listen with the Intruder and single ended amps. The DX50 is the best line out Wolfson 8740 dac implementation I have ever heard.

make sure the volume on the DX50 is turned all the way up, even through the line out to the amp the volume controls the output.

They haven't rejected the idea yet, but they want to make the player a little more stable first before adding more functions to it. So it's a "we'll talk about it later" kind-of response. That's what i got through the email when i asked about a few bugs i was having.

Sorensiim.  The RSA Intruder is a perfect physical match.  Like they shared footprint info when each was in the planning stage.  I just built a mini to mini cable for the pair yesterday, so I have limited time with DX50 with the Intruder.  But the limited amount of listening sounded wonderful.  The Intruder seems to take just a little bit of the harshness off the top end.
(The harshness may be limited burn-in.  I'm sure that my DX50 has less than 50 hours on it.)
I will try to post pics when I get a chance.

 
I see you got the Neco V3. If you have a chance can you please comment on the combo with the DX50. I had the V2 and was amazed by the sound. Thanks

Curious if you ever heard a Teclast T51 or Nationite S:Flo2, they are dual W8740. I loved the line out on them and are still my favorite DAP, but I'm waiting for my DX50 to arrive, so hopefully my favorite DAP will change

I stick to 16 bit, honestly don't find 24 bit improvements worth the file size. But, If I had unlimited storage, sure I would use 24 bit
