I put the DSDs on the internal memory.  .DFF is the format for DSD?  According to the site I got them from, they are a .dff file in 128 and 64 versions, neither of which have been found in directory view, out of three different files.

My file that did not work was in dff file extension, I converted it to Wave 192khz/24 bit instead to maintain hi-res, that obviously works. I did not find an anything file format to dsf converter but don't mind, cause the res is pretty good if not awesome

Hey @DMinor, its like asking you have an iPod 5th Gen 5.0 gen and a 5.5 gen, which one do you prefer? lmao Seriously though I like them both but for different reasons.

So if you were blind and stranded on an island...which player do you bring along?

My left hand would reach for the X5 and my right one, the DX50. I think it's all about my right and left brain perception of music

Well said. :)

...but I didn't give you options to take two.

Anyways, installed the new update and it sounds clearer and more cleaner than it did in 1.2.7. Am satisfied:) It made my veiled Mad Dogs sound all the better.

Wow the DSD support is really great!
It seems the playback is flawless.
Havent tried whether they fix the 24/192 playback on sd card or not.
sq cant be confirmed yet but seems the high is more crispy than 1.22!

I like everything about v.1.2.8 except that my wallpaper no longer loads.

Agreed. As of the wallpaper, I just loaded back on after the factory reset and it works flawlessly.

On a second note. I'm really digging 1.2.8!

All is OK now...I found that when I saved my wallpapers to my computer, it saved them as .jpg instead of .png. I should have caught that before posting!

You should really think about getting an absolutely clean LO from your 5.5g, by that I mean taking the analog signals from the dac directly to the lod pins lifted off board (forget about working on the board). Then output that sucker to a well-designed amp of your choice. Seriously this is how the hi-fi audio path should be implemented with separate and clean circuit and power. The all-in-one piece can only get you that far with that design concept, IMO. You never know if they just keep playing with caps to alter/color the sound from product to product.

BTW, throw away as many caps as you can to avoid effects on the signal path especially on low frequencies. The less components the more transparent. Once the signal path opens up, sky is the limit. :)

From now on I will only use amps without DC coupling caps yet they can kill DC offsets. Yeah that's called innovative design.
