+3

I share the same feelings about your 96/24 choice, I tried the highest and in a blind test I couldn't tell one from the other, I needed to read the dap rating to see which one was playing. I have enough to remember what songs are on the player, the sample and bit rates are the least info I pay attention to but my ears do find differences in the different rates to a certain point. The recording quality is a big factor though, the better the best even at lower res. Not that many people consider one importance device in listening tests, our ears. They have limited ability that any technology is not going to improve unless they replace them.

Same here, I re-encoded all my hi-res to 24/44.1 or 24/48 to save space so I can fit my whole library to a 128GB SD card.

Please be so kind and tell me which program is the best for re-encoded hi-res audio into lower res. I dont hear any difference between low and hi res, but i do hear a little between mp3 and flac if they are encoded from the same source.

For Windows, nothing beats dbpoweramp.

Ok.
Today my player stopped during listening.
Just stopped and i can't turn it on now. Like i press the button but nothing happens. I've connected it with charger but still nothing. Screen doesn't work. When i connect it to my PC it says smth like"the device can't be recognized"
Firmware was 1.2.7.
I was listening it on maximum volume and hi gain with beyerdynamic DT 770 pro(250 Ohm)

Have anyone faced this before?

I'm using SoX - Sound Exchange, which is said to give the best results:

Technically there is no "best" when it comes to transcoding FLAC files. They all use the same libFLAC source code from Sourceforge which means they all produce identical results given the same input files and settings. dbPoweramp, MediMonkey, Foobar2K, Amarok, EAC, SoX, ffmpeg, a slew of others, take your pick; they're all equal.

Is there any way to select the sample rate in Foobar2000's converter? I can set the bit depth, but I don't see any menu fo the sample rate. That's with the latest version (1.3.1).
