I just want to confirm your superimod can live up to its hype against this FOM.

"Can anyone say if FW 1.1.6 fixed the volume shooting up to max randomly? "

This happened to me the other day (after I had read about it!) and i have the 1.1.6 update. Only happened the once though and again, with all the bugs I have personally found, it was with a 24/96 hi rez file - With these hirez I think the device likes to have the time to process each request to completion. By that, I mean if you start pressing buttons too fast it can't keep up and freaks out!

That makes a lot of sense. This happened to me during the beginning of a 16/44 hi rez song though. Looks like we need to post this up in the bug thread unless it's something that has already been addressed.

Edit: Just posted about it in the bug thread.

Add me to the list of owners with battery calibration issues.   Last time it cut out a little after the battery indicated there was just less than 50% available.   This time it stopped with more than 50 available.   Frustrating.  On 1.16 fw.

It's happens to mine with 16bit FLAC, only 3 times in about 2 weeks, iBasso are aware, it's so random though, that's what worrys me, tracking it down.

It doesn't shoot up randomly. It happens occasionally, but only when you are adjusting the volume. And always in the same direction as your adjustment, i.e. all the way down or all the way up when you decrease or increase.

I have spotted a trend of this happening when I unlock the screen and immediately adjust the volume very quickly.

Mine just randomly gave me a blast of ear splitting volume whilst playing, then gave me an electric shock to my ear from my XBA3 and then crashed. Weird

That sucks... I experienced this a few times.. I am extra cautious when increasing the vol by looking at the display... also, don't click the vol up multiple times rapidly.... I have not identified the root cause of this.. take care, mate...
