A question, did DOC2008 also release any firmware mods for the dx90?
No, I don't have DX90, only DX50 and HDP-R10

It's this have fun!
I'm struggling between this firmware and 1.2.8
custom firmware offers:
-spacious soundstage
-better instrument separation
-airy sounding
but lacking in:
-bass depth
-bass quantity
-thin body
1.2.8 sounds thicker, with more bass quantity and deepness. however it lacks of spaciousness. custom firmware is more detailed sounding as well.
custom firmware is more revealing.
and oh, vocal position and mids instrument placement is kinda different. it feels like the mid is recessed in custom firmware and vocal is slightly forwarded.
You kinda lost me there. Vocals is in the mids. You're statement is rather conflicting.

Forget the first Sound Explosion, it's now Mega. For me Doc 2008 has done something really rather special
DOWNLOAD THE VERSION WITH THE CWM

Sounds great, a DX-50 transformed. Extremely well done DOC2008.
Note: the links are via Bing Translator, so you need to go direct to the link after translator asks you.
Just reporting in about the issue I was having with my DX50 not playing songs in order randomly a week or two ago.
A solution was never found though reinstalling the firmware and leaving gapless off I haven't had it occur again.
Reinstalling firmware, which I suggested weeks ago, makes sense. But turning off gapless, well, you either have something wrong with your tagging or there are ghosts in your machine.

oh my God thats not what i meant
what i meant is that the instrument placement is slightly behind and the vocal is slightly more in front of you compared to 1.2.8.
I'm downloading the other custom firmware atm. thankyou doc!
