Could there be some issues with 1.2.2. Just wondering it's still not listed on Ibasso's download page. The DX50 link already updated to batch 8.

Maybe, but they are shipping new DX50's with 1.2.2 now. Not sure how they update those.
They might have internally a 'full' version of the 1.2.2 - 114Mb? I was implying that the 87Mb version is a partial update similar to Multiman (PS3 app) offer both partial updates and full updates to help, I think with bandwidth issues.

but, I remember iBasso removing the 1.2.2 link so the 87mb might not be an official one. Not sure.

Anyone else upgraded directly from 1.1.6 to 1.2.2?

Copied couple albums in sd card (64gb Fat32) after scanning few albums is full with music other is empty directory, then after inserting sd card in card reader they are empty. After copy i delete all waste leaving only music files in directorys. What wrong with that? Firmware 1.2.2

Trying to understand this :) you mean that you copied music and remove all unnecessary files from your SD, then inserted it to the DX50 and done a media scan. After which you tried to read it using your computer?

How long did you let your DX50? 64gb of music needs maybe 10mins - I would let others chime on the scan time, since I have not loaded 64gb yet.

Ask for formating, I think it is better to format the sdcard to exFAT than FAT32 :) not sure, but I did have some corruption before when I formatted to FAT32 and my windows 8 computer ask me to format it

I found an album today that just fuped the DX50 all over - but those very same files would play perfectly on my DX100 (where I grabbed them). Turns out the DX50 didn't like the .m3u and .log files in that folder. Deleted them, rescanned, the album played perfectly.

Interesting, since ibasso just sent me a response to the issue:

Hi,
Please make sure there is not other kind of file on the album's folder, except the music file.

If you still cant play those album, would you please share one with us. It would help us to analyze the problem.

Sincerely
iBasso Audio

I'm gonna try and do that, after i re-update my DX50. Though, 1.2.0 didn't had that issue (the albums played just fine, even with .m3u and .log files on the folder), i hope they fix that with the next update...

I have no problem with the music playing through all of my albums. If a scan doesn't work correctly because of the way I did something, I just pull the SD card and reload and then it scans the SD card and is ready to go. Of course this is only when a different sd card is inserted. Otherwise it all works great. As I mentioned in a previous post, the DX50 sounds excellent with portable amps and frankly, they sound better than with most anything else in the past and no dap I have near the price can match the sound directly out of the DX50 nor are any better regarding the UI. Actually, I have zero problems with the UI of the DX50.

hissing on both my heir 5.0 (pretty loud actually) and ie800 (barely noticable at high gain)

Would have expected better of ibasso :x

These hissing issues have me curious.  Also having it at high gain for less hiss is also curious.

I'm a huge fan of Klipsch, and the Klipsch x10's have absolutely no hiss at any time, perfect complete silent background noise in any type of file on low gain.  These headphones pair absolutely wonderfully with this DAP.

However I did have a bit of a weird issue when using the x10's on the HTC one phone... but those days are behind me.

*Just updated to 1.2.2 now. LCD turned off after system check. but did not reboot. Forced reboot by Volume + and Power.
*Followed the README file, -- updated, factory reset, delete the image.

Currently, running the same burn-in file without microsd. would install sd in about 2 hours

Initial impressions
the UI is same as when downgraded to 1.2.0 - not uber sensitive like 1.1.6 -> 1.2.2
the playback is clickable to change mode unlike in 1.1.6 --> 1.2.2

UPDATE:
hangs again. now to going back to 1.2.0

I have my dx50 a week or so,it arrived to me with 1.1.6,i went straight to 1.2.2..havent had any issues thus far (touches wood)... As for 1.2.2 not being on the ibasso site,I believe it was the same with 1.20,Ibasso were very slow to upload it onto their site and I would think a lot of people used the 1.2 download link from this forum which was kindly provided by Sorensim. I used the download file he provided for 1.2.2 and havnt had any issues at all...

I guess, my DX50 needs to be RMA'd. Thanks for reply :) at least, I can further isolate the bad.
Could be a bad internal memory on mine XD
