i think the toshiba class 10 is just a good microsd since some tests reveal the reading and writing speed of toshiba class10 is better than sandisk. but i dun think this will affect much on sq.
the battery will affect the sq more since a cleaner and steady voltage / current will affect the circuit performance.
I havent tried it myself yet...but yes I believe that the coaxial out is digital and will therefore act as a Transport only with either a desktop / home system. I have been told that it will also work as a transport only with the iBasso D12 (or I assume any other portable DAC/AMP with a coaxial input).......bypassing the DX50 DAC and using the D12's Dual Wolfson DAC's.
I asked a similar question here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/685825/ak120-dx50-optical-out-question-please-help#post_9889941
Seems to have got lost in the Debate about SD Cards...and whether there is a difference in sound between different makes and sizes.......SURELY that is a debate for the Sound Science Section?????
Anyway here's my question again....
Has anybody paired their DX50 with a Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII?
I'm thinking of getting one of these to pair with my DX50 either by line out or via Coaxial. I also believe that the DAC will work with the iPad via an Apple CCK and also if I want to as a USB sound card for my laptop via USB.
Interested In hearing anyone's opinion on how this sounds with DX50 via LO or CoAx and also how it fits size wise against the DX50.
God Rudi at the beggining i was maybe able to believe that there is some difference between the batteries.Maybe. But then the charger, micro SD card etc. Come on you have so much equipment probably much expierience i dont believe you can possibly hear any difference betweend class 10 toshiba and san disk. Information on cards is digital not analog . Maybe you're just trollin but man its getting tiresome. This is my IMO
I don't think Rudi is forcing anyone to believe, he clearly states it in his IMO, just as you have yours so does he, but do you see Rudi posting back at you saying you're wrong? So why should you?

Is it necessary to turn off the DX50 before removing/inserting a micro SD? I removed an SD from my DX50, inserted it back and when I turned the screen off and then on again it shows a blank black screen. Pulling the battery and hard resetting doesn't seem to work. Recovery mode shows a blank black screen too. Any suggestions?

I would always turn it off, but it sounds like something else has happened in your case. Are you sure the battery isn't dead? I have never seen any android based device not be able to get to recovery, and I have needed recovery many times. But I have also been using Samsung/Motorola/HTC devices, and iBasso is not Sammy/Moto/HTC. Do you have an S3 battery around to try?
Transfer the files via usb is pain in the ass. It transfers like 4 mb/s. I start to use micro sd cart to sd cart adapter and it writes 33mb/s via my laptop's sd card slot.

some decades ago Japanese products were regarded inferior quality in USA and Europe, similar to how people see Chinese products today. truth is that Chinese quality of good products is advancing quickly so i would not be worried if Japanese or Chinese. more so i had time ago two Sharp VCR recorders, one was cheapo made in China, another one was Japan made almost high-end with stereo sound, built in LCD and direct editing capabilities. after 6 years Japan made expensive Sharp developed tape tracking problem and today rests in box in cellar.... cheapo Chinese still works problem free which my daughter uses sometimes for watching ages old favorite VHS recordings
