Stuck on this amp until my PB2 arrive in few days.
1.2.3B, working flawless on me, just set the gapless to 5 second. The sd card scan for my 32gb just 2 minute, then sometimes it scan randomly for less than15 second with no problem. Never hangup or freeze, altought 1.2.3B less agressive, it stuck on me until official firmware release .
Cheers.
Hi,
Question about navigating with "My music". When you select "Album" is it supposed to show all albums? Mine shows all songs apparently listed in alphabetical order by album title. Ditto for Artists. Is this the way is works? I probably still prefer the directory by artist but sorting by album with artwork would be nice sometime.
Thanks,
Scott
When I select My Music > Album, it shows an alphabetical listing of all albums on my SD card. If I then click on one of the displayed albums, it will then show the contents of that album but not alphabetically. I am using v.1.2.3 beta firmware and have had zero issues with it.

Just bit the bullet and ordered one with the money I've made selling an old Mac. Now to find a decent priced 64GB micro SD and a new pair of IEMs to pair with it
2 universal IEM's that I find sound superb paired with the DX50 is the Cardas EM5913 and the InEar StageDiver SD3. Neither of these do I use with an external amp.

Thanks for the reply. Hmm, not sure why mine doesn't. the folders in my SD card are Artist folders with Album folders inside and songs in those. This is how iTunes manages it. Wonder if it's a folder structure or tagging thing?

It must be due to your folders being arranged by Artist. All my folders are by Album, with one album per folder. I have never used iTunes, so I can't comment on their file arrangement.
Yikes. Your method of organising by artist/album/song is the logical way to manage a large collection. Not surprisingly, I do the same.
I don't use the database - I browse by directory - but if that really does make the database unusable, that is a ridiculous. I am hoping and guessing that your problem lies somewhere else.

Maybe I am not too demanding but I am not having any difficulties with the DX50. It just plays and plays and does this with FLAC, apple losses, hirez and WAV. I do notice that scanning times are very short. At first I didn't trust that it was scanning all the music but it does. Sounds great with the fi.Q and well just about any good amp. Seems all my amps work fantastic with it.
I have concluded that the 1.2.3beta sound signature is a good example of what can go wrong with digital music. It has good detail but no soul. The worst part in my view is that with acoustic guitar, violin, even cymbals, those jangly leading edges are harsh and fatiguing.
I'm back to 1.2.2.
It (1.2.3beta) does work okay with some music. iBasso, further refinement and/or switchable could be good solutions.
