Eagerly awaits your verdict on DX50 Sorensiim:) Bring it on

I need to do some listening before sharing anything serious, but I have to pick the right music for the DX100 to sound better. Muse - Knights of Cydonia sounded a bit cramped and compressed on the DX50 (coming straight from the DX100), but firing up Jack White...

Not bad, not bad at all. I suspect that amping the two would level the playing ground a bit. A lot of people is going to like this player...

Now, if iBasso can squeeze the DX100 into the DX50 chassis to create the DX200

...Sorensiim, want to suggest that to iBasso?

....and add another ES9018 to make Duel-DAC's......in the DX-50 shell.....SOLD!

You got it. Not to mention you'd need a much more dense battery that packs that sorta power to fit such a device inside the DX50s shell. The DX100 battery is pretty darn big and takes up a decent amount of space as is. Same as the 901 from what I heard. Then you have to factor in the heat it will produce and how to adequately get rid of that heat... Not sure how long it will take though to advance battery power to that level in a smaller form factor. Sounds dangerous to me though lol....

You guys have it all wrong - The DX100 sound in the DX50 chassis will be the DX75.

The DX200 is going to be a dual 9018, fully balanced DX100:

Battery life will be up to 15 minutes on a full charge, using 16/44.1 material, less with high res files.

Sandisk Class 10 64GB? Costs $99 from Officeworks though, but you should be able to get it for about $50 and do that 5% guarantee thing.

I've used a Sandisk class 10 64gb and after less than 5 months in my GS4 it's decided to write protect itself. No matter what I do or tried, I can't write to or delete from it. I'm staying well clear of all SanDisk products. Any other choices?

If you're not already addicted used to the vast soundscape of the DX100, buy a DX50. This sound at that price... It's a no-brainer.

Edit: A few hours in, piano sounds better on the DX100 than on the DX50. Something is just ever so slightly "off" in the top end of the DX50 sound. Might change with burn-in, solar flares or leprechaun tears.
