For those who feel that these are too loose one way to remedy is to take a black hair tie, the thin elastic kind, snip it so it is straight, and shove it into the little notches at the end of the wings. The little notches wedge the hair tie in place, and since they are elastic it still doesn't clamp to hard. You can also adjust how tight it will be this way. Better than a rubber band IMO because it is less noticeable.

In terms of appreciation, I really enjoy these headphones. I originally bought them as a compliment to my Grado 325's so I could game with them, but I might like them more all around than the Grados.

I'm super big into metal and I think that these are fantastic.  However I have noticed that with some of the heavier american metal (NWOAHM stuff) some of the crappy production values are very noticeable.

Scored these on buydig a week ago or so and I gotta say I love them. The sound is AMAZING. However I to am running into the fit issue that others seem to have. Which is surprising as I own a pair of ATH-700s (open back) and they fit perfectly, can hardly tell I have them on. I believe with the 900x the cans are a good deal heavier and (from what I can tell) the wings don't have as much down force. This results in the can sitting abnormally low on my head and clamping into my jaw which than results in awful headaches.
 
Whats the consensus on best way to fix this? Shoestring or cutting a hair tie?

Oh an another note. The time when I bought them they sold out on buydig about 12 hours after going on sale, however buydig just ran another sale on these a few days ago. If there is anyone looking to buy a pair I would say keep an eye on buyDig as they seem to be putting these on and off sale based on when they get them in stock.

Shoestring, never had a problem with mine and they feel like heaven. Also easily adjustable.

As aforementioned, I strongly recommend using something elastic (rubberband or hair tie) rather than shoe string. Easier, self-adjusting, and looks better.

I was going to bite the bullet on these as I had heard great things about them as a closed-ear set when I was looking for my first pair. I had the chance to try them out at Best Buy in the Magnolia section. While they sounded nice, the fit is what killed it for me. I don't have a small head or anything, but the shape must be odd, since they sagged down on my hears. There was almost no clamp force, and the wings didn't even make contact with my head. That's what put them out of the question for me. I really, really wanted to like them.

Was going back and forth on these and the ATH AD900x, the price on these on Amazon is great (could get the AD900x through Tenso/Amazon Japan for similar price, but more trouble). As if I need other over ear (or any) headphones at this point...looking forward to hearing them (the new AT in ears are great, by the way, strong temptation for these)

Just scooped up these bad boys in the refurbished variety for $99 (after Visa $20 off promo code) yesterday from BuyDig. Are they sensitive enough to pick up hiss? That is the problem I had with my JH13s for desktop usage with my amplifier, so I am hoping these are better in that regard. I would use these predominantly for gaming. My HF-2s don't hiss through my Nova but they are unsuitable due to comfort issues.

I'm really close to buying these off buydig right now, but my only worry is the fit. Is there any way for me to sort of predict how they'll fit on my head? I'm using M50s right now and they fit perfectly with 1 tick down on each side.

here is my solution for the fit issue: a rubber band between the wings. please note that that this is a very low tension rubber band, its not even tight when attached, but provides just enough extra tension when on my head.  I got these out of a package of mixed rubber bands from CVS.

Where did you acquire such a short shoe string? Have you found any other string-like material that would be better suited / more aesthetically pleasing? I want to put something like this on my A900x but I don't want it to compromise the sexiness of these headphones.
