You Know You're an Audiophile When.. Version 2!

YKYAAW you wake up early on the weekends just so you have a bit more time to listen to music and relax before heading out for the day.

Or when you wake up trembling in cold sweat, stumble over to your rig and scamper for the power button, hastily grabing for your fav pair of headphones before lying back in a nearby corner, recuperating yourself in the audio bliss.

(note: did not happen, just a made up story XD)

Haha - continuing in this vein:

YKYAAW in the depths of winter, you can convince yourself to even get out of bed as you have a huge 'tube amp / space heater' and know that you'll be warm in minutes, plus music!

u know you're an audiophile when your in-built laptop and TV speakers try to kill u, then u go and get proper speakers for both your TV and laptop, then a micro hi-fi component system, then about 4 pairs of headphones and an expensive pair of dual balances armature headphones, spend 5hrs building a stand to hold everything plus accessories, then start a review blog.

(this is my story so far)

YKYAAW you wish Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, some CIEM companies and some other company who makes good looking headphone yet good sounding should take part in Begin Again movie! It would have been the chance where good audio could be introduced and something new instead of just... The Sennheiser Momentum, SRH-1540, B&O H6 etc.

When you go on facebook and see Above and Beyond's picture and the first thing you see is the headphone on the right and can identify what it is.

Sennheiser S1 Digital

Unless it's those $5 or $10 stuff people get from the bookstores and generic stores.

I hate hearing people's TV speakers. They don't even realize they sound so BAD.

I actually appreciate my TV speakers for what they do. Don't sound harsh or peaky, nor bloated bass. They have no bass and pretty much no treble either but they are inoffensive and pretty good at making speech understandable. A job well done by Sony.

Many years ago I bought one of the original Zvox boxes for our bedroom TV. That little thing still impresses me. Yeah, I know it's "subwoofer" is just putting out a hump in the upper bass, and the stereo separation is really just some phase tricks - but I must admit that it sounds FAR better than the built-in speakers on the Sharp LCD. Whatever secret sauce Zvox uses to fool me, they got it right.

+1! Not all TV speakers are bad but they can't be the best either. Uses Philips TV here and am happy with the built in speaker. Very clean sounding
