I actually do prefer the HD800's presentation over the Audezes. I'm keeping the LCD2 for now until I can get try planx's HE500 with jergpads, and the HE6 again. LCD3 is going just because it's $1700 that I can free up.

only if you were selling the LCD-3s a few months ago....

hi again - so I'm in Vancouver right now. can't get enough of this city... so awesome in every way.
haven't been to any of the places you guys recommended yet but will next week hopefully!
going to headphone bar to pick up a pair of LCD2 on Monday. yay. so maybe go to the commercial one just to check what they carry etc.
thanks!

sorry again for hijacking thread but is there anyone around Vancouver who happens to have a pair of FitEar ToGo! 334?
I am considering selling some of my desktop gear in order to make room for a portable high-end setup since I would really benefit from that... but I can't really spend that much on an IEM that is almost completely unknown to me, other than words and an FR graph. it just seems like people describe it to be exactly what I would like. but hard to know if they're just defending their kind of hefty purchase or actually love it.

either way, no idea where to post this kind of stuff. feels a bit weird to post here as I am not even going to make the meet... but it's the most active Vancouver-related thread I've found

I've got a TG334 here if you want to try them out. I'll have to give it back before the time of the meet but was thinking of meeting up with a couple of others since I couldn't do so last week. HB sounds good.

Oh, and in regards to the meet
-  Yes, I'm still updating the gear list (though I think I might have let a few slip by accident since my PM box is cluttered beyond belief - remind me if that was the case for anyone in particular)
-  Yes, it's still Trout Lake, yes, the time is still the same, yes, talk to GG about donations for the two rooms
-  Yes, I've been trying to work on the list of Van H-Fers to PM an invite but from the looks of it my previous list was a tad bit outdated so I might have to resort a lot of stuff.

I've been preoccupied (avoiding the term "busy" atm) so will be very slow on the uptake. Likely that any loose ends will just be cleared up at the last minute. Not to mention there's a Seattle meet the very day before this one that I have to try and meet so that week in particular will be packed. Again, any inquiries, feel free to PM.

I might come, and if I do I might bring my Sennheiser HD 598s. If anyone is interested.

Equipment update! Sold my Blackbird, CLAS/Classic to Toads today so they are gone to a great new home. Add to the headphone list a set of Beyerdynamic DT1350's!

Still trying to sell my stuff for the Frogbeats C5... From the looks of it, they should arrive well after the meet actually happens...

Also, GG and I discussed about having a potential UE rep come in for our meet + the seattle meet... If we can get the seattle guys to have their meet before or after ours, having a UE rep coming here could be worthwhile! Maybe free impressions!

Anybody have the HM801 or the AK100?? I'm thinking of dumping my iPod+HP-P1 for an all-in-one DAP. It'd be nice to be able to demo one.

Yep, I have the 801 and am bringing it along.

Seattle meet is on May 4th the day before ours. But it's farfetched because it looks like it's going to be a super mini meet. They may have something bigger in the summer.

o cool. do you ever use your HPs with them? or only iems? does it have enough output to use with HPs on the go? Would kinda defeat the purpose if I had to carry an dedicated amp with it

Oh yeah, it has more than enough power and quality to drive Etymotic ER4S's which are 100ohm and quite hard to drive. It also drives my T5P's really well as well. I actually wanted to slim things down from my old classic/class/SR71-B rig and now I just have one box! It also is a fantastic source form my SET amp!

I love the organic nature of it. It makes music natural again.

Is it worthwhile enough that I should go down and back for both meets on the same weekend? :3
Or should I just wait for the big fish?

Gah looks like I have to pay for my impressions then... Worth a try hahahaha

@Ribeye: Ahh, you shoulda bought my Hifiman HM-602 while I still had it! Had no interesting offers/attention so I just traded it with another HFier for the Woo WA3 OTL amp + cash.

Hoping to see you all this coming month!
