I'd like to make a suggestion regarding to a common error known as "double-posting".

Maybe a system can be setup, so that two posts made by the poster, with the same content can not be posted in the same thread twice within 5 mintues, while the poster themselves receives a notification of their double post. This should save a lot of time for the mods and reduce space taken up in threads.

On other forums, there's a feature that merges multiple posts made within a set period after the first post, eg: All posts made by the same person within 5 minutes are merged into one. I reckon we definitely need that.

That sounds great....I could name some other forums that should have it as well.

As long as it is all posts made by the same person within five minutes that have the same content that are merged into one. Multiple posts within five minutes that have different content shouldn't be merged.

Depending on how the solution is implemented, it may affect the overall response time. In other forums such a solution may not be noticeable. However, here with more traffic it may not be tolerable. But I could be wrong.
