How's mk iii compared to Crack without lucid mode turned on? Did you try that?

I like how Taboo can deliver 1.7 watt accross 50-600 ohms, that means I use it with almost everything.

Side questions, I am curious how Taboo managed with IEM though. Is it noisy?

Was not able to listen side by side but the Taboo MKIII, IMO, has greater detail than the crack and gives the phones a more lively presentation.  The crack was OK but something was just missing.

As for the IEM, I hear a hum with my X10s that would become annoying, can still hear it in the background even with the volume turned up.  Also can hear the tubes ring when I bumped into the table accidentally.

What could probably missing?  you mean weight?

Ok, so Taboo is a no-no for IEM, as expected.

Thanks bearFNF

Just seemed a little, um, dead? lacking in separation and detail?, I guess?    Real hard to explain, but as I said this is from memory as we did not get the chance to side by side the two amps.  This is also with no lucid, with lucid there is no doubt that the Taboo is better bigger soundstage, more detail, fuller more balanced presentation.  Next time I go to that office maybe I can get the side by side done.  But don't hold your breath as that may be a while (me getting to that office again that is).
