T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

Hm, it seems to me that there is actually a slight sonic difference between the two cables... do other owners find this too?

Me! I mentioned this a while back. The red cable for me is a bit harsh. Black cable all the way for me but annoying with the inline control.

I prefer the black too - strikes me as a little more 'fun' (punchier bass and crisper treble), the red one more neutral. Plus I sometimes use the remote, so that's not a problem for me. Something to note when comparing impressions.

i have se215, and H200 is many miles ahead sound wise, is just far better sounding.

Well that's one down. Could you articulate the difference a bit? Sub bass presence in H200 SE215 doesn't even show, vocal clarity... Blah blah, ect.

UnityIsPower, to answer your question.

Mid bass is more detailed and better present on H200, in comparison se215 lacks clarity and is warm syrupy.
Trebles, H200 has highs better extended, on se215 treble rolloff kicks in way too early.
Bass, H200 has more detail and punch and air compared to se215.

in every respect H200 is way better IEM here, i would not bother to have se215 for comparison IF i would not have one accidentally.
do not get me wrong, se215 can be very good IEM under 100$, for 50-60$ this is real not bad, but H200 is so much better and pushes in 400$ league where se215 is not any close to.

Gintaras do you feel the H-200 hits above its price-point? If so where do you think this IEM falls in that category? I know that's not an easy question to answer. But it seems this IEM does hit above its price-point from all that I've read so far.

Lee, my answer is bold yes, H200 hits a higher price point and from my experience i would put it between 300$ and 400$.
some people here were even so radical as to suggest that H200 rivals V1 in some aspects which i find a bit over the top conclusion.

but i can hear and feel why people feel soooo happy and i personally love H200 a lot. while not the most resolving or bodily sounding as some better more expensive IEMs i find H200 easily outshining my TF10 (with Null silver cable) and my EB50 bites the dust too.... now lets see what TF10 original price was and how much a new pair costs on ebay? and EB50 is close to 300$.

of course for me there are no miracles and RDB+V1 are by far a better IEM in many sonic aspects... not mention excellent 1plus2. so we do not have to pretend having Ferrari for the price of VW... price still matters :frowning2:

however for me H200 is so much fun and pairs so amazingly with C3 and BH that it makes me go back each time when i am bored with high-end revealing presentation and want smaller room and intimacy. mid centric sweetness of H200 is giant killer and this blends so nicely with punchy detailed bass and silky smooth bodily rich trebles... i would say in terms of musical presence H200 is some special piece of my kit that i plan to keep for long time no matter better IEMs i have or might have

Nice that sounds very interesting :). It's always refreshing to have complimentary sound signatures to keep things fresh.

lol at your second sentence :p.

Agree with you Gintaras re: Shure SE215 comparison. Also, I actually wouldn't mind owning the H-200 with its more laid back sound signature.

Edit: the quote didn't appear properly.

thanks H20, now the two of us here so i feel less scared

actually thanks to you for writing excellent review which tackled most of sonic aspects in the right way and brought this emotionality aspect which is very important to understand what this product is all about. there are many IEM products for which great reviews are written but fewer of them would deserve deep emotional response and H200 is one of such products.

I don't mind how we hear things, there's so much this/that/him/her around here, sometimes I really don't take it to seriously.

Long as we enjoy the music and people are happy. :)

I am enjoying H-200, it's on my go to list of IEM. Timbre might take some adjusting for some, can be a little coppery in the upper mids at first but this helps express it's own personality once you adjust, I've also found to be a little source dependent on that subject. More to a plus point they really open up when fed correctly (good source). I'm pretty happy with the outcome, H-200 is not perfect, but far from a disaster. When you put H-200 up against something like TF10 improvements are very obvious but it won't quite match the natural timbre of something like GR07 MK2.
